Chris Nowinski is a former football player at Harvard University and professional wrestler with WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. After enduring a career-ending head injury, Chris has dedicated his professional life to serving patients and families affected by brain trauma, particularly Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that develops after repeated head injuries. Jay and Chris discuss the state of head injuries in American athletics, the difference between advocating for head safety at youth and professional levels, Chris’ newest research, and much more. A young man and woman meet on a train in Europe, and wind up spending one evening together in Vienna. Unfortunately, both know that this will probably be their only night together. they also chatted about the other films within the 'Before' trilogy, Before Sunset ( 2004) and Before Midnight (2013) . Jim also spoke with Junko Takekawa from the Japan Foundation about their touring film programme which is screening a number of movies at cinemas across the UK throughout February and March. Back in 2021, shortly after it received its premiere our Dark Hedges International Film Festival screened the movie in Belfast and cosplayer Joanne Alexander (Hedgescout) caught up with one of the film's directors Lucy Harvey. A very amateur dramatics group of Dorset Bus Drivers spent a year creating a serious stage adaptation of the sci-fi, horror film, Alien. With wobbly sets, awkward acting and special effects requiring more luck than judgement.
