When a young Eva Kollisch arrives as a refugee in New York in 1940, she finds a community among socialists who share her values and idealism. She soon discovers ‘the cause’ isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Little does she know this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to activism and her determination to create radical change in ways that include belonging, love and one's full self. In addition to Eva Kollisch’s memoirs Girl in Movement (2000) and The Ground Under My Feet (2014), LBI’s collections include an oral history interview with Eva conducted in 2014 and the papers of Eva’s mother, poet Margarete Kolllisch, which document Eva’s childhood experience on the Kindertransport. Learn more at www.lbi.org/kollisch . Exile is a production of the Leo Baeck Institute , New York | Berlin and Antica Productions . It’s narrated by Mandy Patinkin. Executive Producers include Katrina Onstad, Stuart Coxe, and Bernie Blum. Senior Producer is Debbie Pacheco. Associate Producers are Hailey Choi and Emily Morantz. Research and translation by Isabella Kempf. Sound design and audio mix by Philip Wilson, with help from Cameron McIver. Theme music by Oliver Wickham. Voice acting by Natalia Bushnik. Special thanks to the Kollisch family for the use of Eva’s two memoirs, “Girl in Movement” and “The Ground Under My Feet”, the Sophia Smith Collection at Smith College and their “Voices of Feminism Oral History Project”, and Soundtrack New York.…

This week is a shorter episode and probably the most disgusting so far. We STILL can't believe this stuff actually happened. We also introduce "Al the Medic" our new expert that will be helping us on the show from time to time.

This one is super weird, we discuss the legend of Purple Aki, a man who wanted nothing more than to measure your muscles and watch you squat. Is that a crime? Apparently yes.
This week, Patrick & I talk about a certain Japanese new religion that has been sweeping the nation for years and what it truly means to be characterized as cult.
I'm back from my vacation, so in this week's random as fuck episode I have my best friend over to have a chill discussion about random shit on the internet.
My guest, comedian Zain Ali, joins me for what begins as a discussion about Newgrounds.com and other classic flash animation websites, but eventually devolves into a hilarious discussion about a naughty, filthy, forbidden fast food delight... and then we just continue to make ourselves hungry. Sometimes we really are a buncha goofs.…
LISTEN TO EPISODE 8 FIRST. Hoo boy! Things sure have gotten spicy with this whole Epstein thing since we last recorded. So many new developments, so many conspiracies, we just had to do one more. Enjoy!
When billionaire pedophiles mysteriously die under suicide watch, YOU KNOW WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT IT. This is sort of a last minute thing but we had to discuss it. (small story at the end about farts for a palate cleanser)
This week we briefly cover an update on the gamer girl bathwater fiasco & Patrick enlightens me about the legend himself, John McAfee. Its a good one, enjoy it everybody!
Fan fiction can be weird and often times hilarious, but it is at its weirdest and most terrible when it gets erotic. Join us in this side episode as we squirm our way through select masterpieces from the deep, dark, and sticky corners of the web. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you won't be aroused at all. Seriously, this is some terrible stuff.…
After a few weeks hiatus we are back, and why not return with something happening RIGHT NOW!?!? This episode is about selling jars of soapy water and avoiding your taxes. How do these relate? Listen to the episode and find out!
As an internet addict, I've known about Terry Davis for quite some time. So when I brought him up to my good friend Dan, he was instantly hooked and insistent that I have him on to talk about this fascinating, insane, and sad story. There is so much to cover with Terry Davis and TempleOS that we barely scratch the surface, so if you would like to be better informed about this amazing individual, please go check out this documentary, tell 'em Internet Wasteland sent you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCgoxQCf5Jg…

Comedian Abbas Wahab joins us to talk about Peer2Peer file sharing software and some of the craziness that surrounds it. The viruses, the mislabeled songs, and some iconic lawsuits.
In our first episode your very sick host talks about gross viral internet websites and videos. Hope you have a strong tummy!
