EPISODE #14 with ERIC PALMER www.instagram.com/afreakineric I met Eric in High School @ Paul Roos Gimnasium. I know of him due to my younger brother Johan being into skating and also the fact that everyone in Stellies know each other. Eric was known to me as a rollerblader and early on I knew of his photography. In adulthood about 15 years after school I got reacquainted with Eric due to a mutual friend called Koos - whom introduced met to the world of downhill mountain biking, jumps, concussions and broken bones :) By this time, Eric got very successful in Action Sports photography. He not only took photos of riders we watched in DVDs, YouTube and videos; he hanged out with them and knew their personalities. He got to see how they build and prepare for events and specific tricks. Unreal. I talked to him about the how he got into photography, what he aims to capture in his pics, Dark Fest, Night Harvest, Trails Crew, Politics in the industry, seeing bails & fails, who is underrated in SA and who deserves more credit and much more.
