In the previous episode, we talked about David’s fourth strategy when facing any giant in your life which is to simply answer back (a.k.a the careful response) in which you refuse to listen to your giant’s challenge without issuing your own; in today’s episode, we’ll talk about David’s fifth strategy for winning against the giants in your life which is to play by your own rules (a.k.a. My Own Armour) in which we learn to use what we have been given to accomplish our victories.
You will always have the advantage if you create the rules of engagement according to your own strength and abilities.
Here’s what I mean…
Once King Saul realized that David was willing to go out and stand against this menacing threat that was causing grievous harm to the nation of Israel, he was delighted. He quickly dressed David in his own armour. Saul put his tunic on David, put his coat of armour over him, put his helmet on David’s head, and fastened his sword at David’s side.
But something was incredibly wrong with the picture…
