We need to update education into today's world for tomorrow, not just repeating what we've done for the last 100 years.

Do you prefer public, private or home school? How can we finally improve on education? How do we implement better virtual learning?

We are in the technological age and should be ahead in world rankings instead of behind. Let kids excel at subjects they understand best. Offer new and different practical subjects. Life skills vs things you will never use in life. Keep children interested with things like modern "apprenticeships" to help kids excel in their passion and encourage let them learn.

Teachers go into their career wanting to help children and should have tools to help individual students. School is not a baby sitter. Teachers are underappreciated and underpaid. Teachers need manageable sized classes. As a teacher, let the next teacher in when you are "done".

You can help on a local level and help influence modern methods by getting involved with your school board. Remember to thank a teacher.

Edward & Avalon encourage you to open your palate and try local foods that are truly fresh, not shelved for weeks or months. Every molecule of food your put in your body has an outcome to nourish your body or not. If you want to live a long healthy life for yourself and your family, you can. Grow a garden and share your garden. Make the better choice than going for the quick consumption of food. Question and learn about what foods do to your body. Encourage the next generation, from your experience, to contribute in the neighborhood. They will be able to see from their own actions, what it is like to progress and be part of the change for the better. The title says it all. We cannot solve the global planets problems but we can all start in our own small way to help locally. Making a better effort at home with our product choices and how we use the waste they produce will create change. Consumers can encourage companies, big and small, to be environmentally friendly, reduce waste and question where their toxins go. Companies can encourage consumers by creating incentives, like giving coupons or discounts for recycling their containers or returning them. Non-profits can be more proactive about clothes collections and keep them from going into the trash for landfills but given to those in need. As a global community we can keep the earth healthy by reducing, reusing and recycling the things we have and by not poisoning nature. This initiative starts with each individual not littering or pouring your old coffee in the parking lot. Small business can support local artists and other local business when sourcing local vs. faceless nameless factories in other countries. "Patriotism" starts local by helping others in your country and your back yard. With the recent events of 2020 & 2021, SBA economic packages will not help. Small businesses were given a band-aid as government shut their doors for months. Each owner will have to pay these loans back. You can help by choosing to shop local vs hitting the big box stores. Even if you have to pay $1 more, you are helping your neighbor and your community stay employed. We encourage you to achieve your dream of running a business that could grow into "the next big thing" but DO YOUR HOMEWORK. There are so many intricacies that go into small business that hurt them, annual personal property taxes, sales taxes for supplies to run a business & annual insurance. These monies take away from employees and the employer help the give benefits and health insurance to employees.
