Is $15/hour a living wage? How does a $15 raise effect mom & pop small biz? More taxes come out of everyone's pockets and prices go up on products and services. Can the government give real help to small business with incentives vs just big business tax breaks?

Small business which were around 90% of business are the backbone of USA. Restaurant workers often make 1/3 of the states minimum wage. If you tip on a credit card the bank fees come out of the tip first before it gets distributed to employees to share. There are wage discrepancies across the board and from job to job. Price and wage difference exist in Urban, Suburban and Rural areas.

How do you solve the problem? How can you force a federal wage mandate without a current economic study? What can you do? Tip and pay service providers, research all the costs that go into small business, research how big business may pay $15/hour but cut hours and benefits. How would this affect you, friends and neighbors? What is the cause and effect of the whole picture in this government experiment?

They will be able to see from their own actions, what it is like to progress and be part of the change for the better. The title says it all. We cannot solve the global planets problems but we can all start in our own small way to help locally. Making a better effort at home with our product choices and how we use the waste they produce will create change. Consumers can encourage companies, big and small, to be environmentally friendly, reduce waste and question where their toxins go. Companies can encourage consumers by creating incentives, like giving coupons or discounts for recycling their containers or returning them. Non-profits can be more proactive about clothes collections and keep them from going into the trash for landfills but given to those in need. As a global community we can keep the earth healthy by reducing, reusing and recycling the things we have and by not poisoning nature. This initiative starts with each individual not littering or pouring your old coffee in the parking lot. Small business can support local artists and other local business when sourcing local vs. faceless nameless factories in other countries. "Patriotism" starts local by helping others in your country and your back yard. With the recent events of 2020 & 2021, SBA economic packages will not help. Small businesses were given a band-aid as government shut their doors for months. Each owner will have to pay these loans back. You can help by choosing to shop local vs hitting the big box stores. Even if you have to pay $1 more, you are helping your neighbor and your community stay employed. We encourage you to achieve your dream of running a business that could grow into "the next big thing" but DO YOUR HOMEWORK. There are so many intricacies that go into small business that hurt them, annual personal property taxes, sales taxes for supplies to run a business & annual insurance. These monies take away from employees and the employer help the give benefits and health insurance to employees.
