Samantha Lera is a proud Texan and University of Tennessee alumna, who joined Agency H5 in 2017 with her a robust knowledge of the local media landscape and social media influencer relations. Truly a jill-of-all-trades, Samantha provides support in strategic media outreach, influencer programs, social media planning, and event execution. Samantha has most recently taken up residence as the agency’s culture queen and pop-up guru, leading the accounts for several experiential clients, including Happy Place, Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up and Frosty’s Christmas Bar. Samantha is also a former D1 athlete and enjoys checking out Chicago’s best breweries with her close group of friends.

Katie Burds joined the Agency H5 culinary and hospitality team in early 2017, ready to take on the Midwest’s restaurant and hotel scene with a passion for food and travel. Following four years in St. Andrews, Scotland for her undergraduate degree and a teaching stint in Dubai, Katie returned to Chicago to start her career in PR. Her love of sports and entertainment has helped in the execution of several successful client events, including celebrity waiter nights, red carpet premieres and athlete-hosted charity events. In her spare time, Katie enjoys rollerblading with her friends and family along the lakefront, hunting for the city’s toughest trivia spots and is always looking for the next place to stamp her passport.
