Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, the roots of the MAGAt push for Christian Nationalism is a renewed embrace of the racist, antisemitic tenets of its founder, Gerald LK Smith.
Then, on the rest of the menu, the Biden administration said the government will plant more than one billion trees across millions of acres of burned and dead woodlands in the US West; the Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against some of the largest poultry producers in the US over unfair worker practices; and, Mississippi dropped the attorney they recruited to investigate welfare abuse, after the former Republican Governor was implicated in massive fraud.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where the leadership of Scottish cricket is engulfed in a racism scandal; and, a seventy-two year-old liberal Russian opposition politician was detained after returning to Moscow.
