journalist Khalil Hachem discussed the ongoing conflict with Dr. Hany Bawardi, Dr. Khalil Jahshan and Dr. Brad Roth Dr. Bawardi is an Associate Professor of History and Arab American Studies. Aside from developing and teaching a wide range of courses, Dr. Bawardi owns one of the most extensive archival collections and video recorded interviews of their kind from early Arab American immigrants. Publications include "The Making of Arab americans: From Syrian Nationalism to U.S. Citizenship.” Dr. Jahshan is a Palestinian American political analyst and media commentator. He serves as Executive Director of the Arab Center Washington DC. Previously, Dr. Jahshan served as Executive Vice President of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Director of its government affairs affiliate, National Association of Arab Americans (NAAA)-ADC. Dr. Roth is a Professor of Political Science and Law at Wayne State University in Detroit. He holds a J.D. from Harvard University (1987), an LL.M. in international and foreign law from Columbia University (1992) and a Ph.D. in jurisprudence and social policy from the University of California at Berkeley (1996). He is the author of Governmental Illegitimacy in International Law (Oxford University Press, 1999), Sovereign Equality and Moral Disagreement (Oxford University Press, 2011), and a wide range of book chapters, journal articles and commentaries dealing with questions of sovereignty, constitutionalism, human rights and democracy.
