In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Thursday, one New Yorker upset that the city has been housing homeless migrants in his neighborhood on Staten Island has set up a loudspeaker to deliver an unwelcoming message to his new neighbors. Prosecutors say New York City’s former top building-safety official took cash, Mets tickets, a discount on a luxury apartment and other bribes from a real estate developer, a restaurateur and others.
