Do you need a cup of courage before popping the question? You’re in luck because there’s plenty to drink in the famed wine region of Mendoza, Argentina. In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Thursday, New York City, its schools and public hospital system are suing the tech giants that run Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube. In their lawsuit, they blame the social media platforms for fueling a childhood mental health crisis that is disrupting learning and draining resources. A man convicted for a 2015 killing in western New York has been freed and his indictment has been dismissed, solely because he was held at the wrong prison. And in Kansas City, authorities say at least eight children are among 22 people who were hit by gunfire in a shooting at the conclusion of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade. Police say one person was killed- DJ Lisa Lopez from Radio Station KKFI.
