Not sure if this is in your expertise, thought I’d reach out to see.
I have an employee who recently interviewed for a similar position at a company that isn’t a direct competitor and received an offer.

This is a key employee.

They offered him 7k more than what he is making now and he put in his 2 week notice.

I’ve asked my advisors what to do, and they told me to match it and add a bonus.

Yet I’m unsure.
