Are you in a career that isn’t working for your ideal lifestyle? In my corporate workshops, I teach the 5 Steps to Unstuck Yourself. Oftentimes, we are so busy working inside our problems, we forget how to disassociate ourselves from the situation and see it for what it really is versus how we feel about it. Know your outcome Discover your whys/values. Take action Look for the failures as feedback Pivot or adapt your action steps while staying focused on the outcome If you know your outcome, you need to have a plan on how to achieve it. Many sales representatives never truly defined what they want their success to be like, so they are confused about why it hasn’t happened. Do not let that be you. You know your talents, your superpowers, where your gap in performance is, and where you must improve. The next few weeks will challenge you to level up even more so. We will go through the rest of this chapter’s steps throughout your 30 days, so be prepared. For now, though, get that calendar out and set aside 2 hours every week to develop your plan. Treat your career as your own business. Teach yourself how to be personally accountable in all situations. Be proactive. You are the CEO of your job. By owning your schedule and calendar in a well-defined plan, you will be ahead of everyone else who becomes preoccupied with mediocrity and wonders why the good things never happen to them. Good things happen to you, for you, when you make them strategically happen.
