We went to Mother Neff State Park, and while there got hungry. We were just south of Waco, TX so I enlisted the help of my good buddy who produces with his friend Andrew the podcast Tales from the Pits. They know good barbecue, and thankfully answered my text because he recommended two places: Millers Smokehouse and Guess Family Barbecue. Miller's was about to close, so we went to Guess', and boy what a way to end a day of hiking. SO good! What does this have to do with hiking?! Im getting there, I promise. While eating my wife and I decided that we weren't going to be north of Austin any time soon, and our daughter has been needing/wanting a desk to do school work, so we decided that we were going to stop at IKEA on the way home. We got her desk under the condition that she had to do some school assignments at her new desk for fun. My assignment for her was that she had to come up with an idea for this podcast episode. She came up with: Your favorite places to hike...so far. WHEW. So there we have it. This is a quicky with some fun old fashioned story-telling.
