Hi Fam!
Have you ever struggled to feel God's presence, or see God's hand in your life? Has there every been a time in your life where things just felt like they were falling apart? Would you say you have experienced a dry season in your past? If so, did you know dry seasons happen for a reason?!
Join in on the The Clap Back Couch's discussion with new author and divinity school graduate Danielle Monique on the characteristics of dry seasons, their purpose, and ways to navigate through it all!
Scriptural References (in no particular order):
1. Job (The whole book!)
2. Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear."
3. Ephesians 6:14-18 "Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."
4. Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
5. John 7:37-38 " On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
6. Hebrews 12:6 “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son."
7. Exodus 32:1 "When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him."
8. Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
9. Romans 12:15 "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep."
