Bryony has Crohn’s disease, a type of inflammatory bowel disease. It’s a chronic illness that she has been battling with most of her life.
Tune in to her Bryony explain to Festus how she had to have her large intestine removed at only 12-years-old. How she dealt with the trauma of her body working against her and living with a stoma bag in her teenage years. She had to work on finding self love and accepting her abdominal scars. Throughout her journey Bryony stayed determined to live life to the fullest and has achieved her goals, from becoming a BBC journalist to freelance writing for Metro, Independent and MTV. As an advocate for normalizing chronic illnesses, she has founded the Bad Gut Club: Good people bad guts.
