With the cost of groceries having risen so much recently many of us are trying to do everything we can to cut back on what we are spending on food. Even if we had a pretty good budget in place and were able to stick to it in the past, it has become more and more difficult to do so. None of us want to waste food. But, now with the cost of groceries being so high, it is even more important to make sure that we are actually eating what we purchase. If you are not already meal planning, there is a good chance that you may be purchasing food or ingredients that you intend to eat but end up throwing out. Every time we have to throw away food that did not get eaten, it's like we are throwing money away. That food that could have been used as part of a meal will now need to be replaced by purchasing more food.
