VGK announced the appointments of three assistant coaches in an after-5pm news dump on Tuesday. The assistants are John Stevens, who was an assistant during two Stanley Cups in L.A. He was recently with the Dallas Stars. Sean Burke, the former Devils goalie, is now Director of Goaltending. He held a similar position in Montreal. Mike Rosati, who has been with VGK since its inaugural season, is now the Manager of Goaltending Development and Scouting. The controversy is surrounding the hiring of Burke, who has a domestic violence case in his history. A lot of fans are talking about it in chat rooms and on social media. VGK might have sent out the release late so they would receive a lot of attention. But fans are familiar with the 1997 case. VGK will probably have to address the issue, even though it appears to be in Burke's distant past. We also talk about the Hall of Fame Class and it's void of Stanley Cup champions. And, VGK was the fourth least-penalized team in the league. Is that an indicator the Golden Knights are a soft team?
