No-one has been here before. This is our first attempt at today!

Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day! This is message #195 and I am Aaron Havens.

Maya Angelou said it well "This is a wonderful day. I’ve never seen this one before.”

Isn’t that true! I was having a conversation with a friend of mine the other day and they said they heard some good advice. It was something like “remember this is your mom’s first attempt at being a mom”. Whew. So our parents aren’t experts? So even our parents are just trying to figure it how to live and go about today?!!

No matter how put together that person or company or whatever it is… this is their first attempt (and last attempt) of living out today. We all start at zero. Everyone is live time trying to figure it out and live life the best we can today.

Does being reminded of that excite you? Do you look at the day ahead of you and think ‘wow, this is going to be a wonderful day filled with adventure’ or do you look at today and have a different perspective.

My friends, may we be a people that realize that today is a live experiment. Every single human on earth will wake up, throw all we have at today, tell our calories where to go, spend time in the places and spaces we find ourselves, try our hand at today and then hit the pillow tonight. This is the worlds first and only attempt at today.

When you look back on the history of your life. What do you want to be revealed about how you spent today? And my I propose that the result of today begins with your attitude as you launch into the unknown. SO… go for it. Don’t hold anything back. Dream. Plan. Grind. Rest. Play. OWN IT. Your life is precious and time wants to eat it up. Look at whatever minutes you have left of today and smile. You’ve got this!
