In this week's episode of Ghana in focus we look at buying a property in Ghana specifically the capital Accra.
Since the Year of Return in 2019 when many African people were invited to embrace Ghana, Ghana has seen a steep increase in the numbers of Africans from the diaspora wanting to settle in Ghana, especially the commercial and cosmopolitan hub Accra.
This has driven a demand for housing in Accra making housing especially in prime locations very very expensive. So for example some of these prime locations include Airport Residential Area, Labone, Cantonments and East Legon where houses go for at least US$300,000.
We explain why houses in Ghana are priced in USD and explain the processes of buying property like outright cash and mortgages.
