Hooman and Chris sit down with the Senior Programmer at Slamdance, Ben Umstead.
Ben Umstead is a non-binary filmmaker and senior programmer at the Slamdance Film Festival, where they participate in building the fest's First Time Narrative Features Competiton and the Breakouts section.
As a creative development specialist, script consultant, and filmmaker, Ben works with artists outside the Hollywood norm, striving for new freedom in cinematic storytelling. Their films include the multi-award-winning "Three Fingers'', the parable "Tormenting the Hen", and dark comedy "Homewrecker".
