Indra and Deana welcome back Rit Saraswat, co-executive producer for unscripted television and film, writer and director, to the podcast. Rit breaks down the making of his short film “TRAITOR”, which leads to a discussion about being brown in America, what it means to be “American”, and race more generally. Then, the trio gets into all the current Bravo shows and gossip, including Bethenny Frenkel’s strange Twitter reaction to the new book “Not All Diamonds and Rose” and the shocking story Heather Thompson tells about Sonja in the book. They also discuss Kathy Hilton v. Dorit and performative antiracism on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Ramona’s abhorrent behavior on the Real Housewives of New York, Gizelle’s surprising reflection in the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac, whether they think Lisa Barlow called the caterers or not on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and housewives who change in their 2nd season on the Housewives. Finally, Rit fills us in on his exciting new role on the Real Housewives of the OC, including how he works with the storyline, the amazing first two episodes of the upcoming season, and how this season marks an important new beginning for the show. Also, in the intro, Indra gives an important life update, the women discuss their exciting feature in Bravoholic Appreciation Week, and whether Brad Pitt is actually hot or not.
