It's the month of August and more specifically Asian August, a month long offering of community events organised by BAM n Beyond celebrating Asian culture. The first time in a very long time doing a live in person episode. I talk with Jem and Sophia both from BAM n Beyond about the Asian August month they’ve organised, why they’re doing it and the theme of it this year which is all about identity.
We also find out a bit about BAM n Beyond, how they came to be, why they're doing it and go on to talk about the current state of the British Asian community, it’s identity vs the US one and have a discussion of establishing our own.
