Happy 300! To celebrate our 300th episode, we recorded LIVE at Naughty Pine Brewing with the brewer, owner, and badass Brittany Brouhard. We talk about her history, coming up in beer, starting multiple breweries, working at a famous lager house, and of course, she leads on a guided tasting of her beer.
The show starts with a guided tasting of Sturdy-B Pilsner, followed by Supply Chain Deficit Rye Amber, Alligator Skin Belgian IPA (Pink Boots Brew), and 17 Hundred British Brown Ale.
Brit and Greg talk about what got her into the beer industry, why she hates homebrewing, and her “gateway” craft beer. This leads to a discussion about her love for making lagers (the right way), working for a popular German-style brewery, and starting a brewery (with no experience) in Hawaii.
The discussion turned to Naughty Pine Brewing, which has been open for six months now. Now at the helm of Naughty Pine, she can brew exactly what she wants and design the taproom how she wants. The inspiration behind it is straight out of the early 1900s. She also tells us her biggest taproom pet peeves. The show ends with rapid-fire questions where we find out her favorite word for being drunk.
A huge thank you to Brittany for allowing us to record our 300th episode at her brewery and for taking the time to come on the show and share her beer. Thank you to everyone that came out to watch and drink along. And thanks to the NP staff for taking such good care of everyone!
