Finally, a clean sheet for Bayern in the Bundesliga! The champions have struggled to keep the goals out in recent weeks, so their 1-0 victory over Augsburg is likely to please Hansi Flick. However, they once again rode their luck, with Alfred Finnbogason hitting the post from the penalty spot in the second half.

Meanwhile, it was despair for Schalke against Koln. Die Königsblauen were the better team for much of the match, but they were unable to make their pressure pay. Unfortunately for them, Jan Thielmann was on hand to score in injury time for Koln. With the latter now eight points clear of the automatic relegation spots, this could be a huge victory.
