The final evacuation planes have left Kabul airport, and Afghanistan’s government have ceded power to the Taliban. Amongst the international community, worries about what that transition of power means for the people of Afghanistan have centred around the rights of women, access to education for the whole population, and the continuing prosperity of the country… However what this means for health is still uncertain.
