Rainbow Blak is back after taking some time out due to a family bereavement. This episode sees her celebrate the amazing achievements of her late Aunty Shabulla Foluke. So this is a tribute episode in her memory and much more. This episode not only explores the amazing life of Rainbow Blak's aunty but she also takes you through what actually happens when you experience bereavement and some of the issues, thoughts and feelings that love ones are often left to ponder. How keeping calm & carrying on is easier said than done, when real life kicks back in. How music can be a comfort but also strength and how the legacy or the traits of that person can still be upheld in various different ways. She also explores how when losing someone close, how you keep your memories alive and how that can be a great source of comfort. In keeping with her Aunty's zest and passion for community, social inclusion and family she also discusses whats getting in the way of people and families connecting and just how connected is social media & digital aids really making us in 2019, if we are honest. Just how we do we maintain the family structure after the family member who glues everyone together passes ? The strength of the Black women in families is always a reliable source but does that responsibility now need to be evenly spread for todays current climate.

Rainbow Blak also goes deep on how relationships on all levels are being affected in society by lack of communication and how to deescalate situations with people and let go of things that don't serve you. Recognising your purpose in your own life journey and what people need in order to grow has a society - Maslow she switches it up and debates why Wifi is now one of the hierarchy of needs.

Its all a conversation and one that my Aunt would surely have if she was still here. So in her honour l dedicate this entire episode to my Aunty Empress Shabulla Foluke gone but never forgotten. Rest In Paradise 💥🙏🏾 Selah 🦁
