In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the long interview that free agent QB Aaron Rodgers had on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday. The Rodgers interview was nearly 40 minutes in length, and it provided a lot of talking points for us to discuss. Alex and I also go over our main takeaways that seemed useful stemming from that Thursday interview. We also discuss the stance the steelers should have with Rodgers at this point when it comes to a possible time frame they need his decision by. After discussing Rodgers to open the show we move on to our annual pre-draft roundtable discussion with several contributors of the site. The roundtable this year includes Joe Clark, Ross McCorkle, Josh Carney, Jonathan Heitritter, Nate Kosko, Jake Brockhoff, and Steven Pavelka all joining the show to discuss several 2025 draft prospects. We address several main position groups the Steelers are likely to have the most interest in this year. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers re-signing G Max Scharping to a one-year contract on Tuesday. We go over what his signing means and what his contract should look like. The Steelers have now completed all of their pre-draft visits as of Wednesday morning, so Alex and I go over that list of players. We discuss notable players that were not brough in for a visit and what that is likely to mean for a few of them. We also discuss the two running backs that visited on Tuesday and the likelihood of one of them being selected by the Steelers in 2025 NFL Draft. Will the Steelers make three selections in the first three rounds of this year’s draft by the time day-two ends? Alex and I discuss my gut feeling when it comes to that specific question. Alex and I attempt to build a compact list of players we think the Steelers will draft in the first round based on pre-draft visits and pro-day activity. Now that I have caught up more on the tape of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, Alex and I have a lengthy conversation about him and if the Steelers should consider him a franchise player in the first round and especially if he were to fall to them at 21st overall. We also go over some deep passing stats related to other Power Five Conference quarterbacks in this year's draft class. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the recent injury news concerning New Orleans Saints Derek Carr and the impact that might have on quarterbacks being selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. We also discuss the likelihood of free agent QB Aaron Rodgers maybe being an option for the Saints. If the Steelers select a defensive lineman in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, could that player wind up being either Derrick Harmon out of Oregon or Kenneth Grant out of Michigan? What if both players are still on the draft board and the Steelers have to decide between the two? Which one is the best fit for the Steelers and why? Alex and I attempt to answer those questions. Alex released another positional draft study over the weekend and this one revolves around running backs. We go over the box checkers from that position group and much more as a result of his study. 2025 sets up to be a huge deciding season for Steelers T Broderick Jones. We discuss what a big 2025 year it is for Jones and some of the areas he must improve him based on his first two seasons with the Steelers. We also discuss how it's hard to be bullish on the Steelers 2025 offensive line until we see more out of the unit. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers having Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders in for a pre-draft visit on Thursday and how that trip to the facility supposedly went. On Wednesday, Steelers OLB T.J. Watt had a post on Instagram that went viral, so we discuss all of the commotion that produced. Alex and I dive into whether Watt really was trying to send some sort of message with that picture that lacked context or narration. We also discuss the likelihood of Watt being trading and him ultimately signing a contract extension at some point this summer. I go over why I believe Watt will sign an extension this offseason as it relates to the Steelers projected cash spending in 2025. We also discuss what Watt might be looking for in a contract extension in both APY and cash flow. The Steelers have three additional pre-draft visitors on Friday, so Alex and I roll over that list of three players. We also total up the number of visitors so far and how many we expect to have come to Pittsburgh next week. We also discuss the Steelers having a pro day dinner at Michigan not long ago and the significance of that. Alex released another positional draft study on Friday and this one revolves around cornerbacks. We go over the one player that checked every box for what the Steelers look for as well as others that just missed the cut by one box. The Steelers seem primed to draft a running back this year, so Alex and I discuss the 2025 draft class at that position. We each name our top fits for the Steelers at that position. What is the value of free agent QB Aaron Rodgers at this point? Alex and I go over an outsiders’ value on Rodgers and much more related to him as we wait to see if he'll sign with the Steelers.
