The newest sermons from Generations Radio on SermonAudio.
In a new segment titled "The World View News in Review," Kevin, Bill Jack, and Adam McManus discuss recent stories featured on The World View in 5 Minutes. This week's story focuses on Donald Trump and his recent Resurrection Sunday message. Not many presidents have referred to the Gospel in such a powerful way as Trump did this past week. While there is some concern about lack of sincerity on Trump's part, God can use anyone – Baalim, a donkey, or Donald Trump. This program includes:1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Supreme Court blocks deportation of illegal Venezuelans, New law criminalizes praying with someone about gender & sexuality identity, Texas House greenlights $210 million to support pregnant women)2. Generations with Kevin Swanson…
All the indices seem to point to the fact that America is in decline instead of becoming great again. China is currently the strongest nation economically, not America. America is slipping because of the character of the nation. The lack of character is affecting our economy, our culture, and our society. If America will be great again, what needs to happen to us? Will imposing tariffs, stopping emigration, and firing federal workers be enough? There is some merit to some of these things. But ultimately, it has to do with the fundamentals. We have to see a restoration of the gospel and people repenting of their sins and turning to Jesus. We need to see America becoming humble again. This program includes:1. The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (South African police rescue kidnapped missionary, Australian judge protects boy from being "transitioned," 27% of American adults say God does not exist)2. Generations with Kevin Swanson…
There is a recent revival among men in the U.S, and with this comes relearning how to lead in the home. How can men follow Jesus' pattern of leadership? Humility, confession of sins, cultivating relationships, and sacrificing now for future investments are all important parts of leadership. Kevin interviews Chuck Black about this important subject. Chuck Black will also be at the Colorado Father Son Retreat in August of 2025. For more information on this life-giving event, visit coloradofatherson.com.This program includes:1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Archeologists unearthed first Christian hymn captured in new film, Trump freezes $2.2 billion from Harvard over antisemitism, Hungary bans events that celebrate sexual perversion)2. Generations with Kevin Swanson…
It's the ultimate demonic perversion that has been loosed upon the world. The child sex trade is a $32 billion industry, but there are a handful of ministries that are engaging the dangerous work of rescuing children from the brothels. On this edition of the Generations Radio broadcast, Dr. Jeff Brodsky from Joy International explains his work. How much does it cost to save a child from this wretched plight? Donate at joy.org. This program includes:1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Trump's powerful Christian message during Holy Week, United Kingdom bill would curtail home schooling, Nicaragua government cancels Resurrection celebrations)2. Generations with Kevin Swanson…
Due to some recording issues, the quality of this audio is poor.Marriage is under attack in our world today, and is one of the biggest battlegrounds for a Christian family. Prayer should be a constant in the marriage relationship. How can husbands walk with their wives under the grace of God? What is the balance between affirming and correcting a spouse? This program includes:1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (U.S. missionary abducted at gunpoint, White House Press Secretary prays to Jesus before briefing, China raises duties on US goods to 125%)2. Generations with Kevin Swanson…
The international birth rate has been cut in half since 1950. The US birth rate has gone from 3.4 to 1.7 within this most recent generation, and the average evangelical church has a birth rate just above the national average. The result is that we're looking at the largest demographic shift since the world-wide flood. We're living in a self-centered age that is all about "me," which isn't helping either. Do Christians need to look different from the world on the issue of birth control? What is the difference between birth control and conception control? Is conception control Biblically allowed? Kevin Swanson and Joshua Schwisow discuss these questions and more on this edition of the program.…
The importance of Scripture in a father's life cannot be overstated. To be nurtured, convicted, and exhorted by God's Word every day should take high priority in every dad's life. The Word is relevant, authoritative, and life-giving, and it's a father's job to not only study God's Word himself, but to be exhorting and teaching his family about Scripture every day.…
HB 2827 is a recent bill that challenges homeschool freedoms in the state of Illinois. It increases restrictions on homeschooling and is an assault on freedom. Eight thousand homeschoolers showed up to the Illinois state capitol to protest the bill. Protecting our freedoms is one of the most important things we can do in a world that's headed for more totalitarian government every day.…
Today, homeschooling is typically mother-led. However, it's important that fathers be involved in this vital part of raising children as well. To what extent should a dad be involved, and how does gifting influence this?
Throughout history, the influence of Jesus Christ over medicine has been very apparent. So many Christians have contributed to advancements in medical technology, the creation of hospitals, and a decrease in mortality rate, especially when it comes to infant mortality rates. However, Margaret Sanger came along in the 19th and 20th centuries and made attempts to reverse some of this. Today, are we gaining or losing ground when it comes to human life?…
While Christians are attempting to engage the fight for liberty under God's law all over the world, the world powers are meanwhile engaged in proud displays of power. Men who love violence are running the major nations, Iran is a powder keg, and tariffs are causing divisiveness all over the world. Are we currently headed for a world war, and what should a Christian's reaction be to this possibility?…
Property tax is crucial to the communist, Marxist agenda, which became entrenched in American between roughly 1845 and 1890. The end result is that we're living under some of the most severe tyrannies of all time today. Until about 1913, taxes never exceeded 7 percent of the people's income—including during the Roman Empire. Now we see tax rates of 40, 50, and 60 percent. But a movement to decrease property taxes seems to be sweeping the nation, starting with states like Wyoming. So, what is a proper tax rate, according to God? What principles should guide what the government collects from the people? On this edition of the program, Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss the topic of property taxes and the top priorities for reversing the communism that took hold of this country in 19th Century.…
An important part of being a parent is discipline, but we want to be sure that we don't separate the gospel from law. How can parents incorporate a gospel message into their discipline? Love over a spirit of anger and pride is vital in the raising of children.
America has become very individualistic over the years, which has also created a more individualized view of Christianity, and in particular, baptism. However, what does the Bible say about this topic? The Bible mentions household baptism and whole households being saved. Are household baptisms appropriate? What about sprinkling vs. immersion? When can we be sure that regeneration has occurred? It's good to chew on and be thoughtful about these questions.…
Women are leaving the church in droves, while men are coming back into the church. In previous years, women have been attending churches in larger numbers. There is a desire for both men and women to be revived spiritually. However, what does a true revival look like? Is it tied to emotion and music, or is there more to it than that?…
Does worldview matter? Do basic foundational doctrines really matter in the lives of Christians? A new study from Barna shows that only 11 percent of American adults believe in the doctrine of the Trinity, while 16 percent of self-proclaimed Christians hold to it. The number of Gen Z's who believe in the Trinity comes in at only 8 percent. The doctrine of the Trinity has been largely neglected in churches today in favor of more "relevant" topics, the 20-minute homily, and the 40-minute music program. But not being grounded in the most basic doctrines makes one susceptible to false teachers. So how do we overcome this as we raise the next generation? First, check the foundations and worldview of everything you and your children participate in. Give your children a proper worldview as you teach them, and then instruct them on how to cast down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself above Christ.…
In 1937, Disney's Snow White made $4 billion (adjusted for inflation), and is one of the highest-grossing films as of today. However, the most recent remake of Snow White, filled with feminism, Marxism, and socialism, has just bombed at the box office. Disney has dialed in on the wokeism of the day and continues to lose money. However, where did these stories originally come from, and what was the worldview of their authors? Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack explore the Grimm brothers, the fates, and the synthesis of Christianity and paganism that is present in many Grimm fairy tales.…
As our daughters grow older, it's important to address the topic of their future, whether this be as a single woman or a married woman. It's important for women to invest in economics and household management. However, if a girl or woman is interested in ministry work specifically, how can they prepare for this calling, even from a young age?…
In this segment of Discipleship for Dads, we visit the importance of church vs. family. The reality is that fathers, families, and churches need to be revived, but what should take priority? It's a both/and - we can't have strong families without strong churches, and we can't have strong churches without strong families. If both are important, however, what should this look like for Christian families? How can families serve in the church? Is hospitality important? When is it appropriate for a pastor to step down for the sake of his family?…
Jesus has made a huge amount of progress in the world over the past 2,000 years, with Christianity quickly taking over the continents and countries. However, the transformation that is visible today has not been without much sacrifice. On this edition of Generations, Kevin, Nolan, and Fred recount some of the incredible stories of missionaries throughout history.…
The modern marketplace has a perspective that is far from Biblical when it comes to investments. This is primarily because the hearts of people today are largely controlled by greed. But what does the Bible have to say about investments, and investing wisely? Is it necessarily all tied to monetary gain and benefits? Anything we do for Jesus counts for eternity . . . and any investment is worth it if we have an opportunity to trade something temporal to gain an eternal return.…
A recent study shows that, worldwide, most people are spending an average of nearly seven hours on their screens each day. How can Christians combat this in their life? How can we cultivate good habits and get rid of bad habits? If we belong to God, we need to act like it, redeem our time, and spend time building relationships, working diligently, and seeking to learn more about God and His eternal wisdom.…
Many Christians have become enthralled with some of the humanistic teachings of men like Aristotle, Hemingway, Mark Twain, etc. Thomas Aquinas had a similar view of Aristotle, and took a strong liking to his teachings, quoting Aristotle more than he quoted the Bible in his writings. On this edition of Generations, Kevin Swanson interviews Jeff Johnson, a pastor, concerning the importance of building our foundations on God and His Word, and rejecting humanism.…
The Bible encourages us to "seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." What does this look like for the average dad? In this segment of "Discipleship for Dads," we take a look at practical ways in which dads can focus on managing their time to the glory of God. How can we balance work, family, and "me-time?" Is "me-time" something we should be concerned with? How important is the time we spend with our kids? Do we even like being with our children and our wife?…
Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss the importance of a father figure in the lives of boys. Men who never had a father figure won't take responsibility for their own children and families. This leads to a world of men like Andrew Tate, rooted in self-love, anger, and apathy. Christian men should be pro-life, pro-family, and pro-biblical sexuality in every way, shape, and form.…
There are now 8,500 women in combat roles in the US army, and 600 women in similar positions in the US marines. The gender confusion of today ultimately stems from gender role confusion and the feminist movement of the 1960s. God has set boundaries for each gender, and removing those only leads to disaster. So where do we go from here? The key is to get back to Biblical definitions of God's roles for both men and women.…
The Department of Education is cutting 50 percent of its workforce. This is a good step towards elimination of state control over the education of our children; however, will this lead to a complete end, or will this progress plateau? Education is one of the places where the war of ideas burns the hottest, and every parent should be deeply involved in their child's education. It isn't enough to hand your children over to the government to be raised. Christian parents need to take a stand against all state control over education.…
The destructive, evil nature of anger is particularly evident in children who are captivated by the angry spirit well into their teenage years. Whether it be the screaming, hitting, spitting, explosive sort, or more of the sullen silence, the biting sarcasm, and cold looks - anger can destroy a home. Joining Kevin Swanson on this interview is S.M. Davis from solvefamilyproblems.com.…
Is your spouse your best friend? Kevin Swanson interviews authors (and best friends) Hal and Melanie Young about their new book, "My Beloved and My Friend." Together they have written a wonderful book on how to make your spouse your best friend.
More and more church attendees are leaving the church, with Baptists and Presbyterians losing a percentage over the past several years. Has it been helpful to water down the gospel in order to appeal to the world, or is the American church now paying the price? If churches and families don't disciple and ground their disciples in Biblical theology, it will all fall apart, and that's what we're seeing now.…
Despite the media, universities, almost every museum in America, and even Christians being head over heels in love with the theory of evolution, it seems to be fading in the minds of some people today. Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss the problems of micro evolution and macro evolution on this edition of the program.…
China may very well have grown to the largest Christian church population on Earth, but China has a problem! One hundred million people make up a growing, thriving church in China except for one little problem — they kill their children. Some churches even pay for abortions. The conscience of this nation is dead cold with respect to human life, and the Christian church isn't helping much. But what can these Christians do? The first pro-life ministry in China is being launched, and this may be one of the most important Christian needs on the earth today. Kevin Swanson interviews an insider who has first-hand information on the inner workings of the house church movement (representing some 100 million people). This remarkable interview statuses one of the most important developments for the kingdom of God in the 21st century.…
In this segment of Discipleship for Dads, Kevin Swanson, Todd Strawser, Danny Craig, and Bill Roach discuss the challenges of marriage, dating, and courtship. How important is it to cultivate a loving and understanding relationship with a daughter? How can dads avoid falling into the pitfalls of apathy or control when it comes to navigating the maze of courtship, dating, and suitors?…
Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss what a biblical view of masculinity should be. Is the only problem feminism and egalitarianism, or does it go even further back than this? Can all this be fixed by government programs, or will it take something stronger?
Andrew Tate, a prominent figure who is currently under arrest in Romania, encourages sexual sin and appears to have a great deal of disdain for women. He has become especially popular lately among men. Tate could be the most well-known influencer when it comes to male audiences. However, as Christian men approach these topics, they should ask themselves: Who should our role models be? Should Christian men be those who sacrifice themselves for women or leave a trail of fatherless babies everywhere they go? People are not to be used and abused, but valued and loved.…
How do we do family worship well? What does it look like? Is it simply studying the Bible as a family, or should it include other elements such as singing praises to God? And how do we keep the 2-year-old engaged? Kevin Swanson, Todd Strawser, Bill Roach, and Danny Craig discuss the topic of family worship on this edition of the program.…
During this segment of What Does the Bible Say About That, Kevin and Josh Schwisow discuss some controversial topics regarding theology, metaphysics, and theonomy. What is the origin of sin and evil? What is the connection between God's sovereignty and sin in our lives? Do ceremonial laws still apply today?…
On this edition of Generations, Kevin interviews Rick Randazzo, an FCA hockey director, about the importance of discipleship for young men. Young men should learn to accept responsibility for their actions, learn to serve others, and learn discipline and self-control in all areas of life. Many of these important traits are included in a road map that Rick has created called "10 Traits of a Godly Man."…
Currently, welfare programs in the U.S. are being used by a large number of illegal immigrants. How does the Word of God speak to immigration, and what should be the balance between justice and mercy? Liberals prefer to ignore the fact that sin is everywhere, and choose to believe that all humans are basically good. However, to do this is to consign the world to chaos. What is our personal responsibility, and what is the government's responsibility, when it comes to this issue of illegal immigration?…
The Biden-Trump voting pattern at that evangelical flagship, Wheaton College, was . . . 48 percent to 40 percent. That's a total loss for the president, Phillip Ryken. We take a look at Ryken's book on biblical ethics and find a fatal flaw. Should the board clean house on the professors, or remove half the student body who vote for the most committed pro-abortion candidates ever to run for the top offices?…
Everybody should be feeling a whole lot of geopolitical shaking going on, but where are we supposed to align ourselves—with Europe or Russia? Munich mentioned that the US was no longer sharing European values. What are these values? We go over the EU's values in this segment. What are the biblical principles we need to bring to bear when it comes to these big-picture alignments?…
Is it enough to attend church via Zoom, or is there more to attending church than logging in and listening to a sermon once a week? Kevin Swanson and Josh Schwisow discuss several different topics involving the importance of the church, tithing, and what it means to serve others as a Christian.
On this segment of Discipleship for Dads, Kevin Swanson, Danny Craig, and Todd Strawser address the sensitive but important topic of sexuality. Our world is an individualized world, with more access to pornography than ever before. However, Jesus came to save us from our sin. Instead of breeding an environment of condemnation, shame, and guilt, it's important to have a culture of open communication and confession in the home, especially when it comes to sexual sin.…
Here is a PG-13 rated description of the National Institute of Health, Francis Collins, and human fetal tissue experimentation conducted over years. Why would a theistic evolutionist and an evangelical endorse the use of human fetal tissue for these experiments? Francis Collins' definition of truth is neither biblical nor scientific, yet he was heavily endorsed by evangelical ministries.…
There is a potential for scientists today to lean into experiments that promote a "brave new world," including creating transgender animals, making orphans by experiments with embryos, and using synthetic wombs to avoid raising children in a familial environment. At the same time, science has the capacity to heal certain diseases and make it possible for babies to live when they might have died otherwise. What we need are scientists who fear God and who are willing to apply Biblical ethics to the world of science.…
The Lion King remains as the most popular children's movie up to this point. It's seen as a "clean movie." However, what is the real worldview behind The Lion King, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story 4, etc.? Kevin and Bill Jack discuss the common themes of feminism, witchcraft, evolution, Greek mythology, etc. that plague so many children's movies today.…
Having the Spirit is essential to having new life in Christ. So what does it mean practically to walk in the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, and keep in step with the Spirit in our day to day? How do we avoid grieving or quenching the Spirit? We also know that God is sovereign over the events in each person's life and in the world, but man is also responsible—yet God ordains the means as well as the end. So how can prayer change the mind of God if He already knows what will happen? Kevin Swanson and Joshua Schwisow address these questions and more on this edition of Generations.…
Relationships are often destroyed by anger and pride in the home. How can dads go about rebuilding these relationships? What are some practical ways to combat an angry spirit in oneself and in your own children? Kevin, Bill Roach, and Danny Craig all join in on this discussion in this segment of Discipleship for Dads.…
Javier Milei, the president of Argentina, was recently invited to the World Economic Forum, and in a speech, he went after liberalism, socialism, and humanism, speaking against abortion, euthanasia, and feminism. God seems to be having some grace on the nations, with increasing steps away from world government and some steps towards biblical principles in government and economics.…
Pop culture is still deconstructing in America. Sean Diddy Combs led the modern extreme abuse-language culture of the 1990s, but the piper has invoiced, and it's about over for him. Kanye West left the faith. Rushing Simon the Sorcerer to the front of the auditorium to take the pulpit just three months after he's baptized is not a very good idea. Interestingly, pop music icons became the pastors of the modern evangelical church during the 2010s and early 2020s. Not smart.…
Do we live in Babylon, more so today than a hundred years ago? What are the points of intersection between America and the Babylonian exile? Drawing from Jeremiah 29, we pull out the sort of life the Lord would have us to live under the present conditions. Build houses. Plant gardens. Have children.
What is laziness? Is it a sin? What are the outward manifestations of laziness sprouting within a child's life? What is a Biblical view of work, rest, and recreation, and how can we as parents disciple our children through their (and our own) struggles with laziness? Kevin Swanson, Bill Roach, and Daniel Craig discuss these and other questions about the subject of laziness on this edition of the program.…
What is the best thing governments can do to improve economies? Five words: Get. Out. Of. The. Way. And, what is the best way to stay out of wars and avoid the slaughter of a billion people? Free trade and sports. But, what does the Bible say about things like tariffs? What does history say about it?…
In this segment of "What Does the Bible Say About That?", Kevin and Josh Schwisow discuss several questions sent in by Generations listeners. How can wives encourage their husbands to be involved in the spiritual life of the family? What should be the focus when discussing modest dress? Is it more than just externals?…
We live in a sterile and de-relationalized world. A large number of Gen Z'ers are on psychotropic drugs and long for relationships, but the modern church isn't putting relationships as a priority. As Christians, we need to follow Jesus' example of building and fostering relationships.
We live in an age of brokenness—that's the baseline for most families in our day. But all of us are broken, by nature—it's just that the disease has broken out into gaping sores and we can see it now. But what now? How does one face the brokenness? First, admit the problem . . . all of them. Then, Psalm 51.…
The age of buttercups is over. As Politico puts it, Trump is a force of history, and Putin, Jinping, and Trump are all strong men, and they recognize each other to be such. We discuss the value and risk of strength and strong men. How do the Scriptures speak of strength as a virtue? Are we moving towards the age of Hitler, Stalin . . . and Churchill?…
The battle for honest money went on for over a hundred years in American history, but the cause was lost in 1913. How did this happen, and what are the biblical standards for honest money? Andy Keusel, producer of a video course on Biblical money, joins us on this edition of the program. These are the basics that every Christian family and all of our children need to understand if we will ever restore honest money to the world. Check out more info at www.biblical-money.com.…
Crypto investors, companies, and executives accounted for half of all corporate donations in the 2024 election cycle. And Trump Crypto did 18,000 percent out of the gate—with a current capitalization of $7 billion. However, the number of crypto investors is shrinking now, year by year. That's not going to do well for this $4 trillion game, where it's all about who gets out the game first with the most cash. We explain the difference between investing and gambling on this segment of the program.…
Bill Roach, Kevin Swanson, and Danny Craig come back to discuss the importance of discipleship in the home, considering the special role that dads have when it comes to the raising of children. Is it enough to simply cut out movies and video games? What are some healthy replacements for media? How important is accountability when it comes to the internet? When should dads start to have discussions with their children on sexuality and the traps of lust and pornography? Some of these questions, and more, are addressed on this edition of Generations.…
Here's the first 120 hours of the new administration. Trump was saved by God, but why? Was this to make America great again? Or was this to make America humble again? Out of the starting gate, Trump is taking his Romans 13 responsibilities seriously—defending borders and exercising proper justice in regards to criminals. He is releasing the innocent, including the pro-lifers (as of the recent news). But will the nation make progress on abortion and pulling back on the liberal agenda in the schools?…
The job that God has given to dads is the most important job in the world. What dads are doing is fundamental for the health of the family, the health of the church, and society at large. Discipleship of the nations starts in our own homes. Kevin Swanson, Bill Roach, and Danny Craig discuss both the fundamentals of discipleship and specific questions around child-rearing, maintaining unity in one's marriage, and how to cultivate gratitude in the home on this edition of the Generations program.…
Kevin Swanson and Danny Craig engage in a conversation, addressing specific questions from listeners. They speak to the importance of a father in the lives of his children, and what their role is, in a practical sense. While the world is in chaos and families are falling apart, Christian fathers need to be submitting to God, correcting, coaching, and mentoring their children, and loving their wives.…
Who's to blame for these fires and hurricanes that are damaging our country? Reparations are running close to 2 percent of the GNI, just enough to tip us into recession. God brings it, but God can save us. Shall we trust insurance agencies, FEMA, princes, and horses? Or better yet, shall we trust God?…
Here is the shocking story of the most popular homeschooling mommy-blogger - Ruby Franke. The reports were that, "This family looks soooo beautiful!" She had a billion views, but now she's serving up to 30 years in prison. The cults do well with this. The worldly media is all about this. What matters most is the externals . . . the appearances . . . but not so much the heart.…
How does one fight the wars that are raging today around things like abortion or the homosexual agenda? Is just anyone suited for the fight? We must remember a few basic principles, not least of which is that we are fighting principalities and powers as we engage the battle with the culture. Kevin Swanson and Steve Vaughan discuss strategies for the fight, and review the life of Anita Bryant on this edition of the program.…
Nothing encapsulates and exemplifies the spirit of the age like Joe Rogan. The modern youth are enraptured by diversions, a constant stream of the f-words, conspiracies, drugs, and UFO's. In a word . . . unhinged. This is nihilistic, hard-edged, constantly-vacillating relativism on steroids. Sadly, the young people in the church have been affected by this spirit. The only possible solution is to be nailed down to the deck of God's truth (God's law-word) with 400 sixteen-penny nails.…
Taking a position on truth is pretty unpopular today, but there are still some who have the courage to do it in the public forum. Dr. James White is one of the nation's most active Christian apologists and debaters, having debated atheists, Muslims, etc. over the last twenty years. Here Kevin Swanson interacts with James on how to engage the battle in the dangerous war of ideas—with meekness and fear.…
The teenage phenomenon and peer culture has captured the modern world. The thing was born on October 12, 1944—now almost 80 years ago. Only the 98-year-old men and women would have been there to commemorate this revolution. For 5,944 years of world history, there was no peer orientation and peer pressure as what kids face today. Here, we bring a biblical comparison between fearing God (and honoring parents) and fearing peers. The destructive consequences of this social revolution are everywhere now. But, how do we pick up the pieces and rebuild a healthy family and church culture today? This program offers a start to the conversation.…
Everything is excused in the alternate universes created for the fantasy worlds in an age of rabid autonomy. Post-Christian man is cutting himself loose from the bonds of God's law in his own imagination. This begins with Matilda Joslyn Gage and Frank Baum and then continues with the J.K. Rowlings of the world. The same sort of thing is happening now with the Western infatuation with pagan manga and anime.…
Somebody's lying. The Federal Reserve and the Keynesian economists play the shell game with the people, and it is an outright violation of the 8th and 9th commandments. Though their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven abominations fill their hearts. Here is one more attempt to uncover the most massive heist of all time—and it's the widows and retirees that are hit the hardest.…
Hollywood and the big film industry lost another 3.9 percent year over year, down 47 percent over 2002. And the Golden Globes throws away its awards to two trash films that nobody watched. Hollywood is passing away with the lust thereof . . . the stars are tarnished. This is going down. Will Christians go down with it?…
The most urgent issue in the news must be the leading cause of death in the world—killing 175 million people a year, as compared with 8.2 million people who died of cancer, 5 million of cancer, 1.7 million of HIV/AIDS, and 1.35 million from traffic fatalities. Even Christians pass it off, and don't pay much attention to it. But, God cares.…
The millennial generation's regular church attendance rate is 18 percent, down from 55 percent with the Silent Generation. We caught up with Josh McDowell, the youth guru, and we're asking him the million-dollar questions. What will salvage the millennial generation? What's the message? How to compete with the electronic revolution? If you've heard about the debate on presuppositional and evidential apologetics, you need to hear about your life apologetic.…
What does the Bible say about immigration, nationalism, and borders? Is there a point at which the salad bowl of multiculturalism turns into a time bomb? What happens when a nation jettisons its Christian common denominator? Dr. Phil Kayser joins me to talk through these important issues that touch quite a few nations in our present day.…
Christians too often delve into the culture. They kowtow to it, and fall down into it, and further pollute the spring. In the name of Christian liberty, almost everything is permitted, but what was it that Romans 14 was talking about? Shall we encourage more or less interaction with pop culture, and at what point are you stepping over the line and having communion with the unfruitful works of darkness?…
Here are the gutsy pro-life ads that interrupted The View, the World Series, and other programming during the presidential campaign. Whether God uses a donkey, or Jonah, or anybody else, the prophetic word gets out for these empires that attempt a coup against the Almighty.
The world is facing unprecedented instabilities. Here we summarize the conditions in one quick survey—social, political, geo-political, economic, and psychological. America has finally arrived at this point at which governments, princes, horses, money, welfare, and drugs cannot save us. But Jesus can.…
Get the whole year in 20 minutes, siphoning US events and world events through a biblical world and life grid. Here is an excellent bird's eye view of the progression of history, the shocking US election, the destabilization of the world, the second nuclear arms race, the popular cultural trends, the state of the church, and the death of socialist leaders in the West.…
Action films have changed shape since the heyday of Stallone, Willis, Gibson, and Schwarzenegger. More women, more explicit gore, more ethical ambiguity, and more hard-edged nihilism all around. But, what about the vigilantism, the venge-fests, the blood lust, and the pride and reliance on self? Did they include God in the picture, or is all of this to the glory of man? Here is a worldview analysis of action films.…
With one final treacherous policy decision, President Joe Biden sweeps almost every federal prisoner on death row into a free-room-and-board program for the rest of their lives. Whence cometh this softy-wofty treatment of ax murderers and serial killers? The root is found in a corrupted 19th-century theology. Human governments are supposed to be some expression of common grace that dates back to the Noahic covenant—but not much anymore.…
Crazy worldviews produce crazy consequences. That principle cannot be better illustrated than with Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and the man who's got the ear of the most powerful man in the world. We dissect the Musk worldview, ultimately the same atheistic worldview as Douglas Adams and Richard Dawkins. We discuss the limitations of science, as well the internal incoherence of a materialist, deist/atheist worldview. There is no basis for any meaning in life, but Elon Musk still grasps at his straws—hoping against hope he will find it someday within the confines of the universe itself.…
THIS PROGRAM ORIGINALLY AIRED IN 2021. As we celebrate this Christmas, we review once more the accomplishments of this great King. Can we really say that kings and queens will kneel before Him? What did Christ do for the world over these 2,000 years with the aid of His followers? What would the world be like if Jesus had never been born?…
There cannot be a more needful topic for the hour than this. Discipleship is the mission. Discipleship is what is lacking, especially the discipleship of the disciplers, in the age of education, institutions, and seminaries. Brian Croft from practicalshepherding.com provides immensely helpful advice based on his experience and ministry work over the years. This is especially good for parents and pastors.…
There is a transgender tug-or-war going on over children. Some states are staging themselves as sanctuary states for transgender surgeries for kids and children's rights. Others will stand for parental rights. The only question that matters is this: What does the Bible (i.e. God) say about transgenderism and parental rights?…
Isolation. Exclusivism. The sovereignty of man. Fixated on external practices. A rejection of the historical church. This is what has characterized eccentric cults over the years. But, the fallout from gross heterodoxy and hypocrisy can be severe. But the biggest cult of all is the post-Christian, anti-Christian worldview indoctrination into atheism and humanism. This brought about a sexual revolution that did more damage than anybody could have ever imagined.…
The left has taken a big setback, while the more libertarian side got a front seat in the 2024 elections. DEI, woke, the transgender crowd, and the feminists have all fainted in the bleachers. The MSM missed the game, and it's pretty much over now for the CNN/ABC/NBC/CBS monopoly over the minds of the American public. The tower of Babel is crumbling into some strange pieces.…
Homeschooling is no panacea, and exceptional challenges are present here and there . . . but homeschooling still introduces the most positive news in Western Christianity—when it comes to generational faith. Another comprehensive study just released confirms that homeschooling is two times to four times more effective than Christian schools for passing on the faith. Here Kevin Swanson and Dr. Brian Ray (president, National Home Education Research Institute, www.nheri.org) review these outstanding comparisons between homeschooling and Catholic and Protestant schools. The Cardus study confirms the initial results we obtained with the Gen-2 study done ten years ago.…
Kevin and Bill discuss the importance of ideas, worldview, and art in culture. Tom T. Hall, a country singer and a nihilist, wrote a song entitled "The Man Who Shot Himself," then ended up shooting himself and committing suicide over 40 years after the song came out. Ideas are powerful things. The habits and patterns that are set in younger years will affect the later years of our lives. This is why it is vital that we remember and fear God in the days of our youth, and separate ourselves from self-destructive art, lest we move into despair and nihilism.…
A CEO of a big insurance company was recently murdered. This has been a priority issue for the news channels lately. However, why won't the news cover the thousands of babies that have been murdered in the womb? Meanwhile, Trump continues to double down on his lack of concern for the abortion issue. Abortion pills are being made available for sale in all 50 states, and the killing of babies continues unchecked. America needs to repent before it's too late.…
Polygamy is on the rise in a post-Christian world along with other accoutrements of paganism. Occasionally, homeschooling families will migrate in that direction. But, why the move towards eccentric cults and cultic ways? We offer a few reasons on this edition of Generations, and biblical basis for calling polygamy an affront to God's law order.…
Turns out the roots of The Wizard of Oz are firmly rooted in 19th century feminism with all its seances and penchant for witchcraft. We didn't like the distinction between the good witch and the wicked witch. But now, this wicked witch is a little more personable and really good at heart. Here is why Christians are still against Wicked and witchcraft.…
On this edition of Generations, Kevin Swanson interviews Marilyn Boyer about a new box set of books sold at MasterBooks.com. These books are focused on historical figures that, through God working in them, have influenced the course of history in incredible ways. Tune into this program for a more detailed look at these people's lives, and go to MasterBooks.com to purchase the set for your family.…
American fertility has dropped 21 percent in 14 years, and another 4 percent since 2021 (post-Dobbs). That's 72,000 more babies lost every year to either abortion, abortifacients, or some other means. Expect another 80 colleges to close in the next few years. Already, 1,660 colleges have closed, and more are to come. That's bad news for the blue left, but good news for the red right in this country, assuming the university is the cause of birth implosions and the bad worldviews that undermine the nation and human society in general. It's a self-immolating vision for the left.…
US President Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, on several firearms charges, but what does the Bible say about gun registrations and partiality in government policy? Will the president release everybody else convicted of crimes for violating unconstitutional and tyrannical gun laws? While the liberal governments violate the liberties of millions, they allow murderers to run free on the streets. What is the role of government as dictated by the Lord of lords? After all, civil magistrates are servants of God.…
Anti-Christian, post-Christian America and the UK are turning towards polytheism and Hinduism as the operating religion, with Hindus and Muslims filling the void where the Christian faith has been abandoned. Hindus are also increasingly taking over Western governments, currently making up 0.7 percent of the U.S. population but roughly 10 percent of Trump's appointees. Hinduism is polytheistic and hopeless. It has a confused ethic and views reality as an illusion. There is no value for the individual. So where will our nations go as Hindus increasingly take over Western governments? How do we restore the stability of the nation? It must start with true discipleship, revival, and repentance.…
Here is a statement signed by hundreds of pastors and church people in opposition to antisemitism. But what is scapegoating, discrimination, hatred, self-loathing, antisemitism, and racism? Let's define our terms carefully here, and not allow the world to govern our conceptions by their own definitions and terms. Can we blame all the troubles of the failure of Christian faith and the loss of liberties, etc. upon a particular ethnic group? Or, would it be better to humble ourselves and identify the real problem?…
Major scientific breakthroughs do not happen every day. They require a combination of inspiration, perspiration, and, of course, the mercy of God. This particular medical invention has contributed to saving millions of lives. Kevin Swanson interviews Dr. Raymond Damadian, the inventor of the first Human Magnetic Resonance Imaging Machine in 1977. Dr. Damadian gives God the glory for this amazing technological breakthrough. Was this the reason he was refused the Nobel Prize in 1984? This story will be a true inspiration to every Christian and to every young person who wants to discover something amazing in God's great universe. At the end of the program, Dr. Damadian shares the secret of what it takes to produce an invention of great import.…
There are over twice as many unemployed twenty-somethings as there were four years ago! That's a 200 percent increase in the unemployment ratio! Is there any reason to sit around and twiddle the thumbs? Opportunities are always everywhere. Kevin Swanson interviews Russ McGuire on his mentorship of young men through entrepreneurship. How does a young man learn entrepreneurship, and what does it take to succeed?…
