When you hear the words Alzheimer's disease, what do you think of? The truth is, the picture most of us have of the disease is incomplete. Alzheimer's disease doesn't start when someone starts to lose their memory. It actually starts years – sometimes decades – earlier. The Rethinking Alzheimer's Disease Podcast is an engaging, narrative-style podcast miniseries for those curious or motivated to learn about Alzheimer’s disease. Perhaps you have a family member with Alzheimer’s disease, or care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease. Perhaps you consider yourself or your loved ones at risk for Alzheimer’s disease and want to hear more about the journey and actions you can take. Told by people with lived experience of Alzheimer's disease, as well as caregivers and health experts, the Rethinking Alzheimer's Disease Podcast answers common questions about Alzheimer's disease, including: what Alzheimer's disease is, how it starts, what signs to look out for, and most importantly, how you can take action to reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s disease, or slow its progression. Download and listen to our Health UNMUTED audio series to learn more about Alzheimer's disease, gain confidence in dealing with it, and find hope in the insights and knowledge of others. The Albritton Letters began as handwritten and/or typewritten letters to many of Lloyd Albritton's friends and family back in the mid-1980s. The Letters in those days were copied and mailed via the U.S. Postal Service. This podcast is a continuation of that concept, but in a modern audio and video format hosted by Lloyd and his brother Phillip, and occasionally incuding guest appearances by his other brothers, Ronnie, Avis and Gregory. Discussons may be about anything and everything that seems of interest to this pair of septuagenarian brothers.

The Psychology of Living Close to Relatives is the 4th episode of The Albritton Letters by Lloyd and Phillip Albritton. The Albritton brothers have invited their youngest brother Avis to co-host this episode. Actually Avis is scheduled to co-host the next few episodes or until he returns to his family in the Philippines. In this episode they discuss the benefits and disadvantages of living in close proximity to relatives, be they siblings, in-laws, or children and grandchildren. As always, they don't attempt to answer any deep questions or solve any huge problems. They just talk about all sorts of things involving just about any subject. The back ground music is provided by Jason Shaw at Audionautix.com. Titling as well as audio and video post production by Zombie Bunny Productions. Clothing Fads & Fashions - In this, the 3rd Episode of The Albritton Letters, Lloyd and Phillip, along with their brother Avis, discuss the world of fashion in clothing and the associated fads. What makes people change their clothing styles as time goes by? Is the world of fashion controlled by the industry or is it a basic need of people to change up the way they look? As always, nothing with The Albritton Letters is definitely answered, but we talk a lot about it. Hope you enjoy it! Join us next week where The Albritton brothers address the issue of living close to relatives! That will be episode 4. And remember, there is a video version of this podcast at Vimeo. In episode 2 of The Albritton Letters, Lloyd and Phillip...and Avis, talk about the world of pet ownership, specifically dogs and cats. Just how smart ARE dogs and cats? Do dogs and cats smile? How important are these pets to human existence? All of these questions and more are discussed but NOT answered. Here at The Albritton Letters we do not solve anything or answer any questions. We just talk about them and put our opinions out there for all to hear. If you have any comments, please feel free to write us a note! "Writing Letters" is the first introductory episode of The Albritton Letters Podcast. The origination of the idea and concept of the Albritton Letters goes back to 1985 when Lloyd Albritton began sending out actual physical letters typewritten on paper in which he discussed various topics and updated many friends and family members about events in his life, waxing philosophical in each edition of his letter. We hope to use this modern day digital method of dispensing information to sorta continue the concept of The Albritton Letters. Phillip, Lloyd's brother, will be joining him as co-host to carry on discussions of whatever comes to mind and seems like it may have some wide appeal to listerners. The Albritton Letters is being dispensed primarily as an audio podcast, but it is also being video recorded and produced and uploaded to Vimeo, so there will also be a video component of each episode so those wishing to watch Lloyd and Phillip as they talk, can do so. The video component of Episode 1 "Writing Letters" can be watched at Vimeo. Just click the link below: Video for "Writing Letters" - Episode 1…
