Encircled: The Halbe Pocket Podcast is a 15-part series telling the story of the encirclement of the German 9th Army in the Halbe Pocket. The fighting which raged in the Halbe Pocket was brutal and unforgiving, which was typical of the Eastern Front. However, the 9th Army's break-out from the pocket, their link-up with General Wenck's 12th Army, and their eventual escape to the west, would ultimately prove to be one of the most surprising tales of the Second World War.
