Surah Al-Kahf, the 18th chapter of the Quran, holds a special place in Islam, as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized its significance. He advised us to recite it every Friday, as mentioned in a hadith narrated by Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), where he said, "Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, it will illuminate him with light from one Friday to the next." Now, why do you think the Prophet asked us to recite it every Friday? What hidden wisdom lies within this chapter that makes it so powerful? Could it be the stories of faith, trials, and divine guidance contained within? And how does this chapter protect us from the Antichrist, as mentioned in another hadith? Let's explore the secrets of Surah Al-Kahf together, to uncover its mysteries and understand how it safeguards our faith and illuminates our lives.…

Throughout the Quran, the word "camel" is mentioned 21 times in 19 verses, and it is in the story of Prophet Saleh that its significance truly shines. We discover how this majestic creature became a symbol of both abundance and test of faith for the people of Thamud. Prophet Saleh was sent by Allah as a Warner to the people of Thamud, who had grown arrogant and indulged in wickedness. He called upon his people to worship Allah alone and live a righteous life, but they stubbornly refused to listen. In their arrogance, they demanded a miracle from him to prove his prophethood. Responding to their challenge, Prophet Saleh prayed to Allah, seeking His guidance. In a remarkable display of divine power, a unique she-camel emerged from the depths of the earth. This camel possessed exceptional qualities, including its ability to provide an ample supply of milk and water for the entire community. However, rather than embracing this miraculous sign as a blessing, the people of Thamud grew envious and conspired against the camel. They plotted its demise, heedless of the consequences. Despite Prophet Saleh's stern warnings and admonitions, they cruelly slaughtered the camel, thus defying the clear signs of Allah's mercy. As a consequence of their defiance, a severe punishment befell the people of Thamud. They were destroyed by a mighty earthquake, forever buried beneath the earth they once inhabited.…

Stories From the Quran by Meera'n Malik

In this fascinating podcast, we explore a little-known story from the Quran about the power of even the smallest creatures in the eyes of Allah. The word 'Ant' is mentioned three times in one verse of the Quran, and it refers to a remarkable event in the life of Prophet Sulaiman (AS) when a tiny ant played a crucial role in stopping his army. We delve into the story of how Prophet Sulaiman (AS) and his army were marching through a valley when they came across a group of ants scurrying around in panic. Sulaiman (AS) paused to listen and was amazed to hear that the ants were warning each other to get out of the way of his army, lest they be trampled underfoot. This small act of consideration for the ants led to Sulaiman (AS) calling off his entire army and taking a different route, all because of the wisdom and foresight of the tiny ants. This story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of valuing and respecting all of Allah's creations, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant they may appear. Join us as we explore the incredible impact of the word 'Ant' in the Quran, and learn more about the lessons we can all take away from this remarkable tale.…

The Quran mentions various creatures and phenomena that Allah created to serve as signs of His power and wisdom. Two of these creatures are the locust and the fly, which are mentioned in several verses of the Quran. The word ‘Locust’ is mentioned once in 1 verse, while ‘fly’ is mentioned three times in 3 different verses. In another verse of the Quran, Allah says: “And We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.” [Surah Al-A'raf, 133] In yet another verse, Allah says: "O mankind, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued." [Surah Al-Hajj, 73] These verses illustrate how Allah uses different creatures and natural phenomena to demonstrate His power and teach us important lessons. The locusts and other plagues that Allah sent to Pharaoh and his people were a punishment for their disobedience and disbelief. The fly, which is such a small and insignificant creature, reminds us of the limits of human power and knowledge, and how we should always rely on Allah and seek His guidance.…

The word ‘Sheep’ is mentioned 3 times in 3 verses. Allamah Ismael bin Kaseer with the reference to Hafiz bin Jareer and Ibn Abi Hatim has written a detailed account of this event. A number of sheep ate up the whole garden of grapes and did not leave any leaves and bunches of fruits too. The owner of the garden and the master of the sheep appeared before Hazrat Dawood (Peace be upon him). Hazrat Dawood (Peace be upon him) gave his decision that the herd of the sheep should be given to the owner of the garden as compensation. Meanwhile, his son Hazrat Suleman (Peace be upon him) exclaimed that Hazrat Dawood (Peace be upon him) should not give such a decision. The father asked his son, what he had to tell them. Then Hazrat Suleman (Peace be upon him) said, that the sheep should be given to the owner of the garden in order to get from them his livelihood. He also said that the garden should be granted to the master of the sheep and he had to work in the garden till it is restored to its previous condition and the garden and the sheep should be returned to their rightful owners.
