We are a NY/NJ based podcast. Talking about all things from Amusement Parks, Haunted Houses, Sports, WWE, Concerts, TV Shows (MTV’s The Challenge) & much more!
This week we unofficially officially kick off Halloween season! We talk about some haunts we already have lined up and how our 4 year old twin daughters are obsessed with all things spooky. They are obsessed so much that they even created a game pretending to be Halloween animatronics. We also think back (not that long ago if we are being honest) to days living at home and how we SWORE we were being chased up our steps as soon as the lights went off. Now, let’s start celebrating Halloween!…
This week we talk about our experience at Six Flags Great Adventure: Heros and Villains Fest. It’s safe to say our girls will forever love Cat Woman and the Joker now. We talk about the opening cavalcade, the dance parties, the ending street fight and how it became the memory of the summer for us. For the first time ever, we interviewed our 4 year old twin girls to get their honest take on it all! We can without a doubt say we hope to see this event for many years to come!…
In this week’s episode, we talk about Stuart Smith, known at “Syko Stu” in the wrestling world. Syko Stu was physically assaulted by Raja Jackson in the ring during his wrestling match. We give our thoughts on this incident and send our prayers for a quick and full recovery for Syko Stu.
First of all, Happy Birthday to Fred Durst! This week we talk about a bunch of random things, like a grown man getting stuck in a slide and MLB wanting to change up their divisions. We also explain how six flags has made our girls obsessed with all things Villians related. We also play a pick 10 name game with one of our listeners names! Greg makes a very serious confession that Alex cannot believe, and we break down the next 2 weeks and things we have planned. It’s safe to say we are already exhausted. See ya tonight at The Starting Line in NYC!!!…
In this week’s episode, we talk about some more adventures that we went on. We were lucky enough to have some pretty good once in a lifetime seats at a New York Mets game. We also mention a pretty cool time we had at the American Dream Mall and being in a room filled with giant balloons. We also talk a bit about the UFC and what could quite possibly be our favorite food stand ever made at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Did Greg and his softball team win their Championship series on Sunday and how did Greg end up needing to use crutches? Give this one a listen to find out!…
This week we talk about something we did this past week as well as something we have coming up. We took a trip over to Diggerland and rode on some excavators and tractors. We also kept our Summerslam tradition alive and watched it in our pool on our giant inflatable screen! We give our thoughts on Summerslam and talk about the Mets almost getting no hit. Greg explains how a pitcher can throw a perfect game and STILL lose the game. Here’s to hoping the Mets finally go on a run and take back first place!…
This week we give some love to the immortal Hulk Hogan. As everyone knows, Hogan passed away recently and since he was Greg’s childhood hero, we had to dedicate an episode to the character that is Hulk Hogan. If it wasn’t for him, wrestling today would not be what it is. Hulkamania would not be running wild and we would have never taken our vitamins! So give this one a listen as you grab a WWF ice cream bar and wear your red and yellow!…
On episode 299 we talk about some plans we have for our 300th episode. Plus we talk about some baseball news and you know we can’t let this week’s episode go by without talking ALL about the Coldplay scandal! We give you our thoughts on some things and get ourselves ready to celebrate 300.
This week we talk about some MLB news and some crazy plays that have happened this week. We also mention a rumor that has been going around regarding WWE and Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights. We also come up with a new segment to highlight our parenting at its finest (or not so finest!) that we bet everyone can relate to! Also, Happy Halloween in July everyone! At least according to every store out there.…
This week it’s Greg’s turn to get quizzed! Alex prepared some topics for Greg and he must name 10 of each thing. She asks him a range of questions from brands of cars to Limp Bizkit songs (safe to say that was an easy one for him). Some topics had him stumped while others he knew surprisingly well! Give this one a listen and play along! (And let us know if you have any good topics for us to name 10 of!)…
In this week’s episode, we put Alex to the test… the name 10 test. Greg introduces a brand new topic game episode where he asks Alex different categories and she has to list 10 things from each one. Some are easy and some aren’t as easy as you would think. Give this one a listen and play along to see if you can name 10 of each category that Greg asks!…
This week we talk about some more random topics! We mention our trip to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and how they have a new addition to their kid area that is great. We also talk about some sports related news (while we are watching the Mets game live) and let you know that warped tour will be back next year… once again NOT in New Jersey. We also talk about a good friend of ours, Lauren, who has a wonderful pet sitting business and how she is the one to call whenever you need to board your dog! Welcome summer with us and enjoy this one on your way to the beach!…
In this week’s episode, we go back over 20 years to…The Starting Line! Greg and Alex deep dive into one of their favorite bands. From the early days of Winnie the Pooh at Bamboozle and Birch Hill to Pooh Bear singing The Starting Line at their wedding. Alex talks about how TSL was her first concert with Greg and it being her first experience seeing his Pooh Bear persona. They talk about it all from how the band shaped Greg to who he is today, all the way to them bringing their girls to see them in concert. Give this one a listen as we go back to 2/12/99 as this episode shows us that we may have gotten older, but we’re still young!…
This week we talk about our upcoming Starting Line concert (which is the night we release this episode!) and how we will be meeting some new friends there as well. We also talk a little about some sports and WWE news. Greg tries to trick Alex with a not so well thought out joke and gets caught before he even says the punch line! Give this one a listen and come say hi if you will be at The Starting Line show tonight!…
This week we talk about what our previous weekend plans ended up being and why Alex hates (yes, HATES) one of them. We also talk about some random stories we heard recently. We also mention how Greg is being hunted down on social media for his Poohbear persona which some believe is actually an urban legend (that’s how old he is!!) but regardless, it brings them some nostalgia.…
Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! This week we have yet another random talk about not so random topics. We talk about the Knicks being in the playoffs (while we watched game 1 of the ECF - BEFORE the Knicks decided to have a meltdown) and how the Mets are in 2nd place now. We also let you all in on some of our plans coming up like The Starting Line concert on June 6th. As well as our lack of plans for this holiday weekend, although we now have plans for each day. Spend your Memorial Day giving this one a listen, and hopefully it is somewhere more comfortable than how Greg spent his night from when Alex locked him out of the house!…
Happy Birthday! This week we celebrate our girls turning 4. We let you in on how we celebrated the day (even the chaotic parts!) We also talk about some past birthdays of ours that were pretty memorable. From skydiving right after playing softball to going to Disney World and breaking some stuff in a rage room. We also wish every person out there a happy birthday in a very “Greg and Alex” way.…
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms, grandmothers, aunts and other mother figures out there! This week Greg questions Alex all about motherhood. From the good to the bad and everything in between. Things she wished she knew as a first time mom and advice she’d pass on to other new moms out there. Alex had no idea this was even the topic for this week’s episode but she was all for talking about being a mom! After all, she does say it is the best job in the world!…
We are halfway to the greatest time of year… Halloween! In just a few months, we’ll be back to seeing all things spooky and tasting all things pumpkin. As much as we are looking forward to summer, we would always trade anything for Halloween season. Until all of the fun begins, we are joined by Jarad from Halloween Haunts 365 to talk all about Halloween and the over 300 haunted attractions that he has experienced. Jarad has quickly become one of our favorite Halloween people and this episode shows why. Haunted houses are so close, we can almost hear the screams and Alex’s least favorite chainsaws!…
This week we go back to 2005 as we talk about our experience going to the 20th anniversary show of Chiodos (with Hawthorne Heights as the opener). Some interesting things occurred, including it making a top 3 not so great list for Greg. Even with that, we still had a blast through it all. Then we came back to 2025 and talked about this year’s Wrestlemania. Alex’s mind also gets blown when Greg really explains Ric Flairs championship record (she has feelings about it). We also give our thoughts on John Cena’s 17th title win as it was one of the few things that we remember from this year’s Wrestlemania. Give this one a listen if you are a fan of music or wrestling, or both!…
Happy Easter everyone! This week we talk all things Easter (even though it’s one of Greg’s least favorite holidays). Greg gives out a little trivia and some fun facts, like what the most popular Easter candy is. We talk about Alex’s Easter mornings growing up and why she still loves it now that we have kids of our own. Grab a Reese’s egg and a set of bunny ears and see if you know any of these Easter (and some Passover!) facts.…
After 3 years, we are bringing it back this week! Be near your phone and see if you get a 3 minute cutoff call from us! Just kidding, it’s already been recorded. But listen to hear some hilarious and interesting phone calls that only last 3 minutes (we get right to the point!) and get cut off regardless of where we are in the conversation. We speak to some old friends as well as some new ones and see what is happening in their lives and their thoughts on some random topics. So give this one a listen and make sure to always keep your phone near by because you never know when your phone will be ringing for our next 3 minute cutoff call!…
This week we continue our random (yet, somewhat organized) talk about baseball, torpedo bats, actual pirates, concerts going ablaze (literally) and some vacation fun that we just got back from. We learned that it’s okay to bring kids to bars as long as there aren’t any slot machines in them and how Greg and Alex own rock climbing walls. So give this one a listen as continue our random talks with some of our usual back and forth debating!…
This week we get excited about baseball! We talk about the Mets first game and how it was not so successful but still made us real happy that baseball is back. We also talk about some other pretty random things. Like Tracy Morgan getting food poisoning, pirates being real (Alex went deep into a rabbit hole with this one) and how Action Park is still partially around and still dangerous! If you like sports as well as very random topics, this one is for you.…
This week is for the kids! As well as the kids at heart. We put on our grip socks and took a trip over to Play BiG Zone and had a great time playing games, racing in obstacle courses and going on a virtual reality rollercoaster. Greg crushed the basketball record and the girls won a bunch of great prizes. It was a great day with the family and definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!…
This week we continue the feud between west coast and east coast and talk to our good friend, Ben about how raising a 3 year old differs from East to West. Is Ben able to do more than we are being the weather is so much nicer? Or do we do just as much but in different ways? Is school any different? What we know for sure is all of our kids are pretty awesome and we wouldn’t trade them (or their mini muffin snacks) for anything!…
This week we talk all things Legends. From John Cena’s epic heel turn to the demise of Kingda Ka. Greg confirms once and for all why Pepsi is in fact better than Coca-Cola and gives us the perfect spot to sell Girl Scout cookies. We talk about some obvious Legends and some that need to be put in a hall of fame for the amazing moves they have made in life. This one is sure to be legen…wait for it…DARY!…
This week is all about the music… of the movies. We talk about the best soundtracks of movies according to us. We decide on best full movie soundtracks and the best songs that instantly make you think of a specific movie or movies that make you think of a certain song (for example… think of Titanic right now). Some honorable mentions and also questionable are talked about as well. Although we are almost certain we missed some good ones, this one is a fun one to talk about! I bet you can’t listen to this one without singing along at least once!…
This week we interview our niece, nephews cousins and daughters (ages from 3-16) and try to get a look into how kids think. From their favorite food to what they think the meaning of life is. This was a fun one with lots of laughs and some really cute moments. Somehow Greg was still the silliest one there!…
