On the Season 2 debut of Lost Cultures: Living Legacies , we travel to Bermuda, an Atlantic island whose history spans centuries and continents. Once uninhabited, Bermuda became a vital stop in transatlantic trade, a maritime stronghold, and a cultural crossroads shaped by African, European, Caribbean, and Native American influences. Guests Dr. Kristy Warren and Dr. Edward Harris trace its transformation from an uninhabited island to a strategic outpost shaped by shipwrecks, colonization, the transatlantic slave trade, and the rise and fall of empires. Plus, former Director of Tourism Gary Phillips shares the story of the Gombey tradition, a vibrant performance art rooted in resistance, migration, and cultural fusion. Together, they reveal how Bermuda’s layered past continues to shape its people, culture, and identity today. The gang reviews Groundhog Day. The gang reviews Groundhog Day. The gang reviews Groundhog Day. The gang reviews Groundhog Day. The gang reviews Groundhog Day. Then they woke up
Michael Douglas is going to celebrate his daughter's birthday, and woe is he who gets in the way! This week we rewind FALLING DOWN, which tackles the little things in life, like price gouging, lack of green space, inefficient public improvements, plastic surgery, homophobia, and false advertising.
This week, Mike, Nick and Justin rewind Sneakers, an early entry into the sort-of-computer-hacker genre, with possibly the greatest cast ever put together. Despite the fact that dial-up modems abound, somehow this film still isn't out-dated. Plus, the trio hands out the first ever Seal Of Excellence to Sneakers "A must watch" (Nick).…
The crew changes it up and has Nick and Justin choose this weeks film. Instead of watching something only Michael has seen, they choose something Michael hasn’t seen. Disney’s Hercules is a 90s classic and hopefully it will turn Michael from Zero to (Movie Critic) Hero.
This week on 90's DVD Rewind, we witness Justin's personal metamorphosis (without the moths and skin suit) from passive reviewer to passionate film advocate. Nick dumps on one of the greatest films of all time. Mike remembers The King Harley Race.
Basketball is my favorite sport, especially if you are Wesley Snipes or Woody Harrelson. In this weeks episode the trio of Mike, Nick, and Justin rewind White Men Can't Jump (1992).
This week, Mike, Nick and Justin Rewind 10 movies in 24 hours with $1,500,000 on the line. Actually, the guys Rewind 1992's Diggstown, starring Louis Gosset Jr., who fights 10 guys with $1,500,000 of a mafia loanshark's money on the line, with James Woods playing the quintessential conman.
Fresh off 12 Monkeys (Naked Bruce Willis), Mike, Nick, and Justin are back! This week, the trio watch and analyze True Romance (1993). Great performances by this star-studded cast leads us to one conclusion... we all LOVE Michael Rapaport!
So it begins... It all started when Mike found out his two young cousins (Nick, 25 and Justin, 22) have never seen any of his favorite 90's movies. This podcast will document the education (and indoctrination) of Nick and Justin, as the trio watch and discuss a new 90's. Up first... 12 Monkeys
