On today’s episode, we shift gears a bit to highlight Jump Rope for Heart, which is an exciting event that our school has been taking part in for several years. Jump Rope for Heart is a fun, educational event organized by the Heart and Stroke Foundation to raise awareness about heart health and fundraise for heart disease research. Children participate by jumping rope and learning about the importance of staying active and eating healthy. Families can get involved by encouraging their kids to join the event at school, collecting pledges from friends and family online. It's a great way to support a good cause while promoting physical activity and heart health for the whole family.…

Mr. Petersen is a former teacher and principal in the Abbotsford District. Mr. Petersen has served on the Abbotsford school board for over 10 years. He has also been a board member of the Abbotsford Youth Commission, Vice President of the 2016 BC Summer games, director of the Kiwanis club and has served as a coach and promoter of BC High School wrestling, basketball, special Olympics and has had regular trips to Haiti to provide school supplies and teacher training.…
