Dean is one of my favourite Aussie artists and a really nice guy! We discuss al manner of topics related to his work and also dealing with anxiety in a public forum. He has a great attitude and whilst a self confessed introvert, speaks with a humble and gracious spirit for the people he meets and draws for. It’s a great insightful chat and I hope you enjoy it.…
Ahrue and I have been friends for a while and share a great deal in common. Toured together and been friends for a long time. He’s an awesome guitarist and we share the joys he’s experiencing today with his brothers in Lions At the Gate. Phenomenal band. He shares their journey, early childhood influences and some cool tales and insights about the art of song and being in a band. It’s a real happy chat and I couldn’t be more happier to bring this show back with good friends.…
Doing something a little different and expanding the format a little, so naturally I gotta ask Jake from my Freeky Friday and Rad podcasts to jump in on the fun. We take you back to an incredible album and explore the emotional connections we felt and early experiences rather than your usual facts and figures. Something fun, something different, something happy. Enjoy!…
Happy Daze returns for 2023!!! It’s been a while, but great to be back in the saddle. Been busy with all things Freek Productions and the FREEKY FRIDAY and RAD podcasts. This episode sees our return with a fun chat. Tony Campos is the fun and loveable bass player of Static-X, but he’s also played in some of the heaviest bands around that we all love. I had the privilege of chatting to Tony prior to Static-X’s return to Australia and we talked musical inspirations and some fun stories of Oz and more like when Static-X used to play Halloween shows in their early days, dressed in KISS makeup. Enjoy and be sure to like and subscribe to the channel, as well as giving us a 5 star rating cause you care. Mahalo! www.freekproductions.com @freekproductions…
Emily is a true passionate fan of the film Predator and the universe it stems from, with a love for the films, games and more. So much so, she dedicated herself and set a goal to create her very own Predator costume. It looks brilliant with incredible attention to detail, down to the armour and weapons she utilises in the look. We had a great chat about the joy of manifesting a goal and making a dream come true. A heartfelt episode from childhood shared with none other than my little brother. Batman the Animated Series was a huge part of our childhood and it was only fitting to share our memories and love of Batman together.

Finally!! A catch-up with an old friend and one of this planets most unique and enigmatic humans. Today, he plays guitar in the iconic Sisters of Mercy, but I know him as Dylan the friend. We share history, both as friends and musicians and have a candid chat on all kinds of fun.
If you haven’t heard of Classless Act, change that tune, and blast these hot new rockers blasting straight out of California and beyond! Hot off a mammoth stadium tour, opening for Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Joan Jett and Poison, these guys have certainly proven their mettle on the big stage and kept busy for some time now. Derek, a seasoned performer and charismatic persona offstage as he is onstage is one of the best vocalists I’ve heard in a while. His range and energy is infectious and I connected almost immediately with this Cali rocker, who hails from shredding guitar and busking on the Santa Monica pier to tearing it up with Steve Vai and even jam buddies with Stephen Perkins(Janes Addiction). We had a fun chat about singing and life and cheetos. I may even get to school this guy on how to make a killer vegemite sandwich. Thanks for your patience, enjoy the show and please subscribe. Every week, I get the pleasure of speaking to interesting and inspiring people from all walks of life, but I had an idea to speak to someone that’s a passionate fan of movies and music. One that’s seen ALOT of gigs and supports in spades. Jamie is a diehard fan and tells an incredible story of an early childhood screening of Jaws in 76, to seeing KISS at the height of KISSMANIA in 1980. We talk as a pair of fans and share some love of venues, gigs, movies and The Warriors. Enjoy.…

Aaron Sammut is a brilliant mind, highly talented as both a graphic designer and as a writer, plus he loves Heavy Metal. So much so, that he created an idea so brilliant that shows his love, passion and childhood together in the pages of the brilliance of Maurice and the Metal. If you haven’t read it, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it so much. He’s just launched an incredible Kickstarter campaign to get #3 out there, packed with awesome rewards, and we discuss that. But we also discuss his inspiration for ideas, share our thoughts on the creative process, as well as trials and tribulations of what we do and endure to bring our passions to life. Fantastic episode with a fantastic human! Shannon is the promoter and creator of the Moondoll Festival, that really brings together an eclectic mix of styles in not only music, but arts and crafts also. It’s fantastic to see events like this at a time when we need music and people in our lives again and people like Shannon is making this possible. It’s always a treat to have guest return and Dan Jensen is always a welcome treat here. His enthusiasm and passion for the cinema is matched by few in my opinion and we have a great chat about cinema nostalgia and childhood memories before discussing the early impact of Top Gun(1986) to 36 years later, discussing quite possibly one of the GREATEST SEQUELS EVER MADE!! Yep…I said it. Here’s Dan’s YouTube review: https://youtu.be/WAEGpUjcTtA and also a link for his pal, Bongo(a funny monkey) and his new album “Appetite for Bananas”: https://open.spotify.com/album/2jZU2kGgBgcHbf2FMDWXfy?si=qnJRbhGESDGMC2Knxw0zqQ…
Tammy is like many of us today. A true hard worker of many jobs working towards a better life, but also helping others through her passion for better health and positive changes both physically and mentally. Her story is a roller coaster from a young age of seeing the world and living without care and responsibility to waking up one day and realising changes needed to happen or life wasn’t going to get any better. The loss many years ago of a mutual friend, and the inspiring spirit that lives on in Tammy is heard beautifully in her voice as she discusses an incredible journey that is helping many today. She is also a Beauty Therapist and a Marriage Celebrant. A link to her businesses can be found here: https://linktr.ee/tamisfree . This is a great episode and we even discuss her moment in the spotlight on the tv show “Farmer wants a Wife” and why she shed tears. Enjoy this episode and a huge thanks to Tammy. Be sure Subscribe and enjoy.…
