Steve Preston is the CEO of Goodwill Industries. Though Goodwill is known for big stores where people can donate clothes and buy them secondhand, those stores are just the first level of what Goodwill Industries are about. Those stores fund an international organization that provides job training, employment placement services and other community-based programs for people who face barriers in their employment. Steve joins Jay to discuss the ways Goodwill Industries support veterans and individuals who lack job experience, an education, or face employment challenges, such as those people who are formerly incarcerated. 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' has concluded so we've compiled all of our previous reviews of every episode from the series. On the March 22nd pod, we kicked things off by recapping the series premiere, 'New World Order', which catches us up with Sam Wilson after he forfeits the mantle of Captain America given to him by Steve Rogers (2:14). In 'The Star-Spangled Man', we're properly introduced to John Walker as the new Captain America, and learn about Isaiah Bradley, a veteran super soldier who fought the Winter Soldier in the Korean War (44:51). Then, we discuss the return of characters like Baron Zemo and Sharon Carter as the team travels to the criminal sanctuary city, Madripoor, in 'Power Broker' (1:25:24). Happy San Diego Comic-Con weekend nerds!!! The biggest comic convention in the world is here, and both Marvel and DC have graced Hall H this weekend to show and tell us a bit about what's coming up. Marvel Studios' panel dropped so many bombs with the unveiling of both Phase Five and Phase Six, so we had to have an emergency podcast to talk about everything we've just seen. Another reboot/sequel hit Hulu this weekend with "Hellraiser" (19:50) a spiritual successor of Clive Barker's 1987 film. Happy Black History Month! We have a decent amount to talk about in this week's episode. Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and the gang are back with a farewell film in 'JACKASS FOREVER' (1:48). Roland Emmerich is also back with his latest big budget disaster film, dealing with space this time, in 'MOONFALL' (15:25). We also got the chance to check on some films on streaming. One movie that has been getting a ton of buzz in awardS land with 'CODA' (35:59) on Apple TV+, and another film dealing with some heavy subject matters starring Jenna Ortega on HBO MAX with 'THE FALLOUT' (52:08).
