This gifted local musician navigates the original and cover music scene, offering a unique and palatable sound. When he’s not making music, he’s either being a father or raccoon watching. We're thrilled to have him on. Join me in welcoming Joe Teague to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast! Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…

Today on the show I’m sitting down with the director and one of the choreographers of Harford Dance Theatre’s The Nutcracker. This show has been a Harford County tradition for over 40 years, and it’s back in 2024 to keep the magic alive. Both Mckenzie Horseman and Spenser Cole are no strangers to the stage or dance theater and they’re here today to give us a backstage look into what goes into bringing these holiday traditions to life. Today on the show I’m sitting down with three original singer-songwriters who need little introduction, but we’ll give ‘em one anyways. Anthony Frijia, Jules Riser and Rich Presberry Jr. all surf the original and cover world circuits, and as a result have become staples in the Mid-Atlantic music scene. Anthony has a folksy, blues sound, as where Jules Riser is a child of the 90’s and Rich, possibly the 80’s. They all have developed large followings and have earned their spot in the sun. Tonight, they’re coming onto the show to talk about their musical journey and what the songs mean to them. Join me in welcoming Jules Riser, Rich Presberry Jr. and Anthony Frijia to the Mouthful of Graffiti Podcast *LIVE* at Reb Records! Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…

Today on the show I’m sitting down with three well-oiled and seasoned local, original artists from none other than Harford County, Maryland. These three pickled lads have run the gauntlet, from covers to originals and have provided inspiration to countless up-and-coming artists. Bands like Vicious Wishes, Think Again and Starbelly resonate with the local music scene because their good vibrations connected in a way that made them unforgettable. I wouldn’t likely have to introduce them to anyone in the local scene, but for the sake of our out of state and international listeners, let’s give a jolly good MOG welcome to John Adams, Dennis Schocket and Dan Houtz. Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Jess Simmonson, Julia Eakes, Samantha Jednorski and Eric Bray Jr. from Phoenix Festival Theater's Fiddler on the Roof stopped by for a quick episode to talk about their upcoming production, opening on SEP 20 | 7 PM at the Harford Community College (Amoss Center). Today on the show I’m sitting down with the man, the myth and the legend of everyone’s favorite local sandwich shop and burger joint, Vagabond Sandwich Company, Mr. Ben Meyers. Ben remains unconventional, unpolitical and authentically himself. His style is the happy blend of rustic and urban, garnished with gobs of fun. Beneath it all, and something he’d likely downplay, is a hidden layer of business acumen that has made him successful in all of his pursuits. He's a fun-loving cook, business owner and serves his community with whatever available time he has left; and, today, he’s taking time out of his busy week to talk to us about how it all got started, what’s next and his upcoming and annual Sandwich Stock event. Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…

Today on the show I’m sitting down with a drumming legend in the indie rock n’ roll community, Ms. Aixa Vilar of Go Betty Go. Go Betty Go has been a staple in the West Coast music scene for over 20 years. Yes, 20 years; partying and rockin’ alongside bands like The Dollyrots, Bad Mary, The Muffs and more. Indie rock is a family, an aesthetic and a way of life; it’s a culture that Hollywood movies are made about to reflect upon and try to understand, though they often get it wrong. In four days, Go Betty Go will be kickin’ things off with their "Party at Sea" music video. Join me in welcoming Aixa Vilar to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast! Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with the president and founding member of the local Scottfield Theatre Company, Ms. Becky Titelman, along with two of the stars of the upcoming musical, School of Rock, featuring Lucky Marino and Liz Marion. All three have a lot of experience in theater and know how to put on a quality production. I’ve known and worked with Becky for a lot of years. If there’s one thing you can count on, she isn’t going to have her name on or associated with anything that she isn’t proud of and doesn’t R-O-C-K. I’m happy to have them all on the show this morning, so join me in welcoming, Lucky Marino, Liz Marion and Becky Titelman of the Scottfield Theatre onto the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast. Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with enough folk-rock heart to convince even the most cynical musician into believing, ‘Rock n’ Roll didn’t die, our priorities did.’ I’ve often said that rock n’ roll isn’t a genre, it's an invocation of social change, with one’s heart on full display. It’s as much punk rock as it is soul. I can’t think of three original artists who carry the torch of being genuine singer-songwriters to the Olympic flame more than Shelby Blondell, Mike Smith & Shane Grimm. They are as authentic as they are charming and as real as they are artistic. They know the power of an honest song. I couldn’t be happiest to have them on the show. Join me in welcoming Shane Grimm, Mike Smith & Shelby Blondell to the Mouthful of Graffiti LIVE at Reb Records! Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with a local up-and-coming alternative rock n’ roll group who call themselves Made From Meteors. This Mid-Atlantic quartet fuses rock, funk and blues and they’ve already started impacting the local music scene with their hooky brand of space-themed space rocks. They are a reminder to explore the limitless of rock n’ roll. Colin Walters holds down the low end, while Scott Blecman pounds away on the skins, sending his good vibrations into the atmosphere. On July 16th, their EP album ‘Origins’ will drop and, so long as our satellites remain in place, you’ll be able to hear it anywhere you stream. It’s a pleasure to have them on. Join me in welcoming Made From Meteors to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast. As always, thank you to Double Groove Brewing, Vagabond Sandwich Company, Music Land Store, Heather Sipes - Baltimore Decal Gal, [the gone, but never forgotten] Black Eyed Suzie's, REB Records-MD & Caprichos Books Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with Mark and Lisa Moody of a popular local brewery, Double Groove Brewing. Mark and Lisa are not just brewmasters, they are tireless supporters of our local talent and have been growing at a meteoric velocity since [at least] 2019. I remember talking to Lisa at the genesis of Double Groove Brewing and could tell they had big plans, and this wasn’t a ‘Flash in the Pan’ idea; it was something that would eventually take Harford County by storm and, in a few short years, they’ve done exactly that. Blending music with beer and beer with community, Double Groove Brewing is a force that everyone who loves a good time should be out to support. I’m thrilled to finally have them on the show. Join me in welcoming Mark and Lisa to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast. As always, thank you to Double Groove Brewing, Vagabond Sandwich Company, Music Land Store, Heather Sipes - Baltimore Decal Gal, [the gone, but never forgotten] Black Eyed Suzie's, REB Records-MD & Caprichos Books Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with a singer, songwriter, podcaster and production house, Mr. Brett Buehler. Brett has had a wild year and made a lot of waves with his Part-Time Rockstar podcast, but has also overcame some personal injuries and struggles that he’s shared privately with me. When he’s not strummin’ and hummin’ or interviewing one of the areas top talents, he’s probably saving a life or on the ice playing hockey or wishing he was. He’s a down-to-earth guy who goes after his dreams with tenacity and heart. He’s made quite a name for himself in the Mid-Atlantic community and he’s here today to talk about what he’s been up to since we last spoke. Join me in welcoming Brett Buehler to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast. As always, thank you to Double Groove Brewing, Vagabond Sandwich Company, Music Land Store, Heather Sipes - Baltimore Decal Gal, [the gone, but never forgotten] Black Eyed Suzie's, REB Records-MD & Caprichos Books Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with singer, songwriter and local inspiration, Allie Post. Allie has a soulful affect and isn’t afraid to tackle hot button topics with her soft, melodic voice and guitar. Much like a songbird, she’s always singing her heart out, whether she has an audience or not. I recently had Allie onto the Mouthful of Graffiti Podcast LIVE at Reb Records and she blew me away with her candor, lyrical composition and professional performance. For someone just edging out 21, she’s got a very bright future ahead of her. Join me in welcoming Allie Post to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast. Special thanks to our latest sponsor, the Harford County Cultural Arts Board. As always, thank you to Double Groove Brewing, Vagabond Sandwich Company, Music Land Store, Heather Sipes - Baltimore Decal Gal, [the gone, but never forgotten] Black Eyed Suzie's, REB Records-MD & Caprichos Books Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with three artists with very different musical backgrounds with a common thread, songwriting. Allie Post, the youngest of the three, has a folksy approach and has just started to climb the mountain of local rock n’ roll legends. Josiah Orsie is already one of those icons. He is an alternative rocker, best known for his beloved, innovative, moody rock act, Tears of Mars. Another legend, E. Joseph, has been playing music since he knew there was music. He has decades of experience and a lot of stories to tell; it’ll be my challenge to keep our interview to 15 minutes. All of them bring a perspective to the show that is uniquely their own in a timeline where music has changed dramatically. In the words of Tom Keifer, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” From spinnin’ vinyl, to CDs, to streaming, to vinyl again, one thing is for sure, music unites. And, in the words of Jagger, “It’s only rock n’ roll, but I like it, like it.” Join me in welcoming this powerhouse of talent to the Mouthful of Graffiti LIVE at Reb Records. Special thanks to our latest sponsor, the Harford County Cultural Arts Board. As always, thank you to Double Groove Brewing, Vagabond Sandwich Company, Music Land Store, Heather Sipes - Baltimore Decal Gal, [the gone, but never forgotten] Black Eyed Suzie's, REB Records-MD & Caprichos Books Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Anthony Hurley, a singer-songwriter, musician, father and husband out of Baltimore, Maryland is the ‘Papa’ who’s back with ‘Brand new bag.’ Since the last show back in January of 2022, his main group, Rosabella, has been tirelessly promoting new releases from their upcoming album, ‘Breaking at the Bend,’ set to drop on May 31st. But, coming from the peripheral to the forefront, and why he’s here today, Anthony has been forging his own path as a solo artist, booking himself as Hurley or Anthony Hurley Music. I’ve heard one of his new cuts; it’s a happy blend of southern folk and alternative rock. I’m happy to have him on so join me in welcoming Anthony Hurley back to The MOG! Special thanks to: Double Groove Brewing, Vagabond Sandwich Company, Music Land Store, Heather Sipes - Baltimore Decal Gal, Black Eyed Suzie's, REB Records-MD & Caprichos Books Sponsored by the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.…
Today on the show I’m sitting down with three Mid-Atlantic’s singer-songwriters that remind us to think, feel and more importantly use our voice. I’ve had the pleasure of sitting down with each one of these talented guests and tonight we’re going to share in the experience and dive a little deeper, but also hear them share their art acoustically on the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast *LIVE* at Reb Records. Behind every artist is a story and for these three, there’s a lot more than meets the proverbial eye. Derrick, the author, musician, father and family man, Kaly, the independent, bold, folksy plants-woman and Kyle, the musician, father and producer. Join me as I welcome these voices of a new generation to the Mouthful of Graffiti Podcast *LIVE* at Reb Records. Today on the show I’m sitting down with the talented marketer, photographer and supporter of local music, Ms. Emily Adolph. If you’ve lived in Harford County, you’ve probably seen Emily out and about, capturing the moment or helping a local business paint the picture of their latest event; framing their mission statement with an indelible memory. I’ve known Emily for decades. One thing that remains constant is her heart, lust for life and attention to detail. She’s a good-hearted person with a passion for making the world its best image. Join me in welcoming Emily Adolph to the Mouthful of Graffiti Podcast. * * RECORD STORE DAY | APRIL 20 | 8 AM * * Today on the show I’m sitting down with three legendary Harford County rock n’ rollers; Mr. Scott Lester, Benny Clough and John Amoriello. They are all accomplished singer-songwriters who have multiple successful albums under their belt and know how to entertain a room. From winning Maryland Music Awards to opening for national acts and festivals and everything in between, Scott, Benny and John have proven that becoming a professional musician is a long game, but an easy one to play when driven by an unquenchable passion to create. I’m proud to call all these gentleman friends as much as peers and I couldn’t be happier to have them on the show. Join me in welcoming Scott Lester, Benny Clough and John Amoriello onto the Mouthful of Graffiti Podcast *LIVE* at Reb Records. Today on the show I’m sitting down with a man who is the alleged son of none other than the King of Rock and Roll, Mr. Elvis Presley. From an early age he knew where his rhythm, blues and soul came from and on April 11th he’s bringing his high energy Elvis Presley tribute show, ‘For the Love of Elvis,’ to Havre de Grace’s own The STAR Centre. He’s on the brink of a musical renaissance, ready to release some new original music and he’s here today to talk about how his love of Elvis came to be, forging his own path in the footsteps of his legendary father and how he knows he’s none other than the son of Elvis Presley himself. I’m excited to have him on the show. Join me in welcoming Kenny Presley to the Mouthful of Graffiti Podcast.
