Dueling Decades is the totally awesome adult retro game show you've been looking for! Listen as the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s square off and do battle! Because it's your history, we just fight for it! The rules of our game are simple! A coin flip shall decide who picks first, out of the 5 dueling decades categories (Movies, TV, Music, News, & Hot Products). Dueling Decades will be back next week with an all-new episode but this week we take a listen back to the time we were all hankering for someone to talk some pro-wrestling with and professional wrestler RJ City answered the call, and he must have been fresh off his morning coffee in his underwear because this guy is a walking encyclopedia of ALL things; not just wrestling! When he's not tag-teaming with David Arquette, RJ must be reading anything he can get his hands on, because he literally knew about everything we threw at him! Beau Becraft joins us this week, and he's happy as a schoolboy on pizza day to be back with all the wrestling accolades of 1995! His first opponent Mancrush is still reeling from defeat and looks to right the ship with wrestling of 1989. Rounding out our contestants for this week, Marc James prepares to dismantle the competition with wrestling of 1981. RJ City is ready to deliver a "Knee Arthur" to anyone who steps out of line, but did we give him a reason to? There are so many deep dives in this episode! RJ's thoughts on signing with a major organization, cobb salads, the return of the Mongolian Stretcher match, the birth of real wrestling competition, empty arenas, The Oak Ridge Boys, David Moble loves baklava hausen, 5 Star matches, Hall of Famers, rubber toys that don't belong to Mom, Vince McMahon stranded on a roof, the best linebacker to ever live, horrible movies, good movies, horrible TV shows that paved the way for a new world order, local bands that suck, 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon that's beyond belief, Lewis Arquette is super fly, Ox Baker is everywhere, grabbing cake, the WWE's most successful movie, arcade games, Snake Plissken is the coolest name ever, The Wrestling Boot Band hurts our ears, a legitimate wrestle war, wrestling is "fake", and just what does RJ City think about Kayfabe in the year 2020? On this Dueling Decades, we once again look back at some of our favorite past episodes. This week we remember when Diane Franklin joined the show for the first time and determined who had a "not so excellent" decade! Diane Franklin, the beautiful Princess Elizabeth from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, John Cusack's muse in Better off Dead, and everyone's favorite "Karen" in Last American Virgin grabs the gavel and deliberates this "worst of" battle of the decades! Joe Findlay from Miscast Commentary came to battle with the worst of the first week of July 1986! Marc is looking for back-to-back victories with the most awful first week of July 1976 that he can muster. Mancrush is still looking for his first victory in over a month; so he delivers an inferior first week of July 1996 to get back on the winning path. Diane Franklin brings some brutal honesty to this episode of Dueling Decades! Aside from her unwavering judgments, she also tells us what her worst movie role ever was, what her favorite role was, the real reason why you watched Second Time Lucky, the worst Independence Day movie imaginable, the difference between east coasters and west coasters, invaders from another planet, the end of journalism, Bo Derek, Cannon Films rules no matter what, toys that are a step above coal, cooking with chemicals, a movie Disney wishes didn't exist, a "regular guy" heads to Hollywood, mysterious albums, don't touch Marc, fake coups, intergalactic failures, the price is wrong Bob, boring BBC shows, John McNamara screws Roger Clemens, filming awkward nude scenes, life after Mental Health, and who was the funniest man on the set of Better Off Dead? This week we have another totally righteous rerun for you as we flashback to the time the ageless and beautiful Lydia Cornell joined the show! The Too Close for Comfort star judges this battle between 1983 & 1996, and drops some serious Hollywood stories on us. Just who did she kiss on Magic Mountain? What did she say about Ted Knight on a talk show that was too scandalous for audiences? Who did she deliver "the talk" to while celebrating an anniversary at Hooters? Did she start a rumor? An agent did what?! Stalkers, Stolen valor, and a whole lot more from her upcoming book! Mike Ranger and Marc go head to head on this week's retro battle between the 80s and 90s! On this episode, we got notorious killers, Marc digs deep for an industrial discovery, Lydia gets wet on a television challenge, stripping welders, songs about masturbation, short shorts and tight tank tops, Gerbils in small uncomfortable spaces, witches on television, tv networks on the decline, hammer on the decline, JTT gets stricken with disease, and much much more! Do you agree with Lydia’s rulings? How did you score it? Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Want to share some of your own 1980s & 1990s memories? This week on everyone's favorite adult-only retro game show, we look back to one of our favorite episodes. In this head-to-head Week Experience showdown, Mancrush steps up the plate with April 21st through the 27th of 1985 to face off against The Professor Drew Zackin. Drew comes prepared to drop the knowledge as he gears up with April 17th through the 23rd of 1994! As usual, we need someone to hold down law and order, so why not a 1980s & 1990s movie villain? That's right, who knows the law better than an outlaw?! This man trashes teenage house parties for fun, battles Mad Max in the apocalypse with assless chaps, kidnaps John Matrix's daughter, and gets cozy inside Martin Short's body! He had no limits, and he's here to decide which decade did it better. Welcome, the nicest bad guy we ever got to meet, Vernon Wells! In this episode, we got all kinds of nostalgia that you didn't know, you didn't need to know. A huge company flinched to its competitor's advances, Dan Akyroyd sings with Willie Nelson, an iconic album gets a followup, Teri dresses like Elvis Costello, an ER doctor has sex with a spy, obscure TV shows down under, prostitutes unionize and become dangerous, a movie you probably don't remember, an album that changed the game, a bizarre concert pairing upsets teeny boppers, lots of videotapes, Peg Bundy, Madonna's a genius, Drew gives a history lesson, someone died, Drew gives another history lesson, Vernon didn't care, opinionated comedians, a janitor goes to the Tennessee State Penitentiary, Vernon drops all kinds of gems, and where the hell do rich people hang their paintings anyway? Do you agree with the judicial rulings of Mr. Vernon Wells? How did you score it? Let us know!` Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Want to share some of your own 1980s & 1990s memories? Let's take a look at our contestants, and the eras they will be fighting for! First up, Mancrush throws on a leisure suit and goes way back to November 1978. Smack dab in the middle, Marc James tucks his jeans in his Pony's and delivers a heavy helping of November 1988. And rounding out the competition this week, we're joined by our friend Jimbo! For this week's retro rerun we look to the time where the Dueling Decades crew took a trip down to Malibu and picked up the most wanted judge in Southern California! No.....not Judge Ito. It's the star of such cinematic classics as Scream, Three Kings, Malibu's Most Wanted, and The Jamie Kennedy experience, it's Jamie Kennedy! Fresh off his new stand-up comedy special "Stoopid Smart" on Tubi, Jamie joins us poolside with his gavel in hand to tackle this "worst of" June showdown! We're also excited to welcome back Hysteria 51's Brent Hand! Being the gentleman that he is, Brent brought the very worst of June 1999 along with him. Brent's first opponent is coming off some tough defeats as of late, and he's armed with a plate of turd sandwiches from June 1976, it's Mancrush! But wait, there's more! Marc James is back to make this contest complete, with some disgusting, flat non-alcoholic beer from June 1983. Thanks, Marc! When Jamie's not chilling at Usher's house, he likes to sit back, and reminisce about the days of old! So here are some of the things you might find in this episode, Jamie will take us back to his childhood, comics that James Gunn suggests, paying your boyfriends way through medical school, stars that enjoy wearing their girlfriend's knickers, more annoying songs, Michael Douglas pulls a power move, a comic love triangle that results in death, Jamie digs Anthony Spinelli's work, the most annoying character in the world, Jamie is a product of Yoda, filthy funeral escapades, BBC, Publisher's Clearinghouse, fists in random places, spelling bees, horrible sequels, Will Smith's biggest blunder, computer viruses, Hollywood rumors, the worst gift to buy your girlfriend, the most honest celebrity in the world, Randy Meeks lives, ass blasters, graboids, and how did Jamie end up doing stand up in the back of a bowling alley? All that, and a bunch more!\ Do you agree with Jamie’s rulings? Need more? Come watch us on YouTube or Subscribe to the podcast now on Facebook! Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Dueling Decades returns with another nostalgic clash! Legendary comedic actor Michael Winslow steps behind the bench to judge this fantastic episode you have to hear to believe! Marc James is bad company as he brings the best of June of 1974. This week Mancrush goes crazy with June of 1984! The host of the Miscast Commentary Podcast, Joe Findlay returns to the show with June of 1994, brother! Micheal sounds off about his great film career, from working with Mel Brooks to Rowdy Roddy Piper. We get the inside scoop on the making of Gremlins and hear what it was like voicing one of the iconic characters. Joe tells us how long it took to download an Aerosmith song in 1994. Mancrush finds genes from extinct animals as Marc James uncovers the birth of the Seahawks. Michael tells us how he landed the role of Jones in Police Acadamy and if Rick Moranis is really as cool as everyone says! Mancrush makes us wonder what happens when you leave Gizmo out in the Purple Rain. Marc James takes a trip to Chinatown and The Juice is loose! We have a little bit of everything in this one and you never know who is going to show up! Michael invites some friends over to help him with his judgments. Red Fox, Pat Morita, Hulk Hogan, Ice T, Snoop Dogg, and even his old friends Cheech and Chong make a joint appearance on this one. We explore the longevity of music and the reality of reaction videos and was Chuck Norris really supposed to be in The Karate Kid? Do you agree with Michael's rulings? Need more? This week on Dueling Decades we take a look back to that one time at Sleepaway Camp where we called horror icon Felissa Rose and asked her to channel her inner Angela Baker to judge a bloody retro triple threat. Felissa is one of our favorite guest judges! Her laughter is as infectious as a zombie bite and her stories and tales are frighteningly funny! This makes it the perfect episode to resurrect just in time for spooky month! Miscast Commentary's Joe Findlay is back and bringing some horrifying hacks from 1984, and he's been bragging all week that he's going to slash the competition. Mancrush goes back to his senior year and brings the horror of 1996 to the table. We're really loving these triple threat matchups, so Marc summoned up the best horror of 1998 to make this a real bloodbath! In this episode, we're going to find out what Felissa has been up to since Sleepaway Camp, we discuss her penis at length, serial killers who live next door, serial killers from the depths of hell, scary letters to Kylie Monogue, drinking Cisco in the basement, stalkers, an actor repackages himself to become a vampire, the mothers of America cause a cult classic to lose lots of money, Felissa got matching tattoos with another camper, a video game that turned into a media empire, sisters who battle the forces of evil, a multi-threat super beast, an invisible man sleeping in your bed, stabbing your lover and dumping them in the river, Santa Claus, going to lunch with Bill Murray, how much we want an Angela Baker toy, killer Mogwai, prosthetic body parts, reach out and touch Kane Hodder! Yes, I assure you, we're back again. Fans will remember this week's judge best from his role as the Chewlies Gum rep in the Kevin Smith classic, Clerks. Scott Schiaffo is back, and he's back for his 3rd time! The third time seems really fitting since Scott just wrapped on Clerks 3! First up, Drew "The Professor" Zakmin is back, and he's got the best "weak" experience of September 1999, he could find. Mancrush drew a year he deems unlucky with, September 1979. But, will his week be strong enough to get him back in the winner's seat? Rounding out the trifecta of nostalgia this week, Marc James jams all the way back to the third week of September 1989! For years listeners have been asking us “Who is your favorite guest judge?” & “What episodes should I listen to first?” This week Duelers we bring you the first Dueling Decades Rerun! A hand-picked selection of some of our favorite episodes and moments here on everyone's favorite adults-only retro game show! This episode was extra special to all of us on Dueling Decades because, like many of you, we spent our formative teen years watching Rhonda Shear on USA's UP All Night! Not only was Rhonda amazing, but she also introduced us to a whole new world of movies that we might never have seen. Had it not been for Rhonda and UP All Night, we might've never found the love for B-Movies that we have today! Our parents also thank Rhonda for being a free babysitter on Friday & Saturday nights as we sat there until the wee hours of the morning watching Reform School Girls and Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death, much appreciated! Sit back, relax, and re-live some of the best B-Movies had to offer. Brent Hand from Hysteria 51 is back and brought the very best of B-Movies from 1993, Mancrush delivers with B-Movies of 1991, and Mike Ranger of the Video Rangers completes the competition with B-Movies of 1988! There is a ton of B-Movie madness in this episode, and lots of Rhonda stories to satisfy! In this episode, you might find stories about monsters, bad wigs, creepy ex-boyfriends, Rhonda's first episode on UP All Night, cannibals playing instruments, schlinging schlongs, B-Movie mockery, slithery tentacles, Cannon Films, the man responsible for the death of the B-Movie industry, stars that should never get naked, killer clowns, top-secret projects by the government, Gilbert Gottfried, zombies, lack of sleep, lingerie, foot fetishes, Mel Brooks is a good guy, destroyed master tapes, killer bimbos, entrepreneurship, all of our listener & Facebook questions for Rhonda answered, and what sitcom star got Rhonda fired and is a mega douche? The incredible Robert Tepper returns to share some more rock n’ roll stories and decide what year had the best September 1975, 1985, or 1995! Robert is one of our favorite judges here on the show and after this rock n' roll rollercoaster of an episode, we know he will be yours as well! Marc James is so excited for his picks this week he is shivering with antici…..pation! Hopefully, the best offerings from September 1975 won’t let him down. We are not sure if the real Mancrush showed up to compete this week or if it was just an imposter but either way give him a roll of duct tape, a safety pin, and the best picks from September 1985 and he might just win this battle! Meanwhile, The Media King of the North Joe Findlay really wants to know what's in the box and if the best of September 1995 will lead him to victory this week! Do you agree with Robert's rulings? Welcome back, everyone! We've got a special "worst of" edition for you this week. Since Mike Ranger is still serving his indefinite suspension (more details on the episode), we found someone new to fill in his rotation spot. This week, we're joined by his replacement, Chucky Ballzak! This is Chucky's first time competing, but he's a veteran of the game and how this retro ruckus is played! With that being said, Chucky went back and dug up the least promising things August 1987 had to offer. On the latter end of the competitive bracket, Marc James frosts his tips and delivers a poop sandwich that you'd only be able to find in August 1998. Last up, putting his winning streak on the line, Mancrush rocks a shimmery leisure suit and comes to party with the worst of August 1977! Do you agree with Joe's rulings? Need more? Welcome back, Duelers! After a much-needed week off we return with another exciting new episode of everyone's favorite adult-only retro game show! This week band members Christian and Alex from the hot new metal band The World Over join us to judge a wild Week Experience battle! For this one, Marc James jumps back to the third week of July 1979 for some live-action Looney Tunes and in a shocking move, does something that has never been done in show history! Mancrush finds himself in the middle of a Hardcore Heatwave in July of 1999 and brings some Nu-Metal to the competition. Joe Findlay returns representing July of 1989 and wants to know “Where is the sun?” but that may be just because he has been stuck inside playing NES. This well-rounded Week Experience battle has a little bit of everything in it. We hear about some show-stealing strippers and take a trip up to Woodstock. The sky and the stage are both falling in Australia and Mike Tyson does it again! Joe reminds us all that we don’t need no stinkin’ Badgers and then Mancrush goes out hunting for the Blair Witch and come to find out it has nothing to do with The Facts of Life! Make sure to check out The World Over ’s new single " To Be Human " now on all streaming platforms and you can catch them live on the “Back From The Dead ” tour this fall with Powerman5000 ! Remember Duelers you don't just have to listen, you now can watch the show! We are now on PodTV, available on (Roku/Firestick/Android/Apple/Web) Do you agree with Christian and Alex’s rulings? Greetings everyone, and welcome back to another nostalgic installment of your favorite retro game show, Dueling Decades! This week, we bring back a judge that really loves a good retro deep dive! I mean, who doesn't?! But, he liked it so much, that he requested to come back for more! Tom Higgenson, the frontman of The Plain White T's is back as our guest judge! This time though, he's dropped a new retro-style solo project named, Million Miler. So once this episode concludes (wait till after Tom's great acoustic performance at the end), go and check out his new Million Miler album, "MILLY"! Before all that happens, let's look at our competitors. First up, rotary dialing it back to the 1970s, Mancrush brings the best July 1976 had to offer. Smack dab in the middle this week, Marc James delivers one crazy summer, with the best of July 1986! And returning this week, loyal listener of the show, Trevor Gumbal, and he brings the coolest July 1996 one could ask for. This episode is a lot of fun! And it's even better on video! So make sure to check us out on YouTube or PodTV and subscribe. In this episode, you might hear something about: keeping it up longer with disco dancin' adult stars, spending time at the pawnshop, a rock icon flies solo, David Geffen can't handle Clint Eastwood, a sequel that's better than the original, Randy Quaid will dust your crops, family fornication with strange celebrities, three days for America, a TV show that's turned into a flaming pile of garbage, Freddie Mercury rules, a sitcom star leads a cult, Mancrush's dad surfs the web, how to make a proper setlist, a trip to the red planet, really fast cousins, sheep science, Marc loses count while aboard the pork chop express, a legend hits his last long ball, music listening habits, Tom's 1990s indie run, and Trevor walks off the set! All that and more! Do you agree with Tom's rulings? Need more? Come watch us on YouTube! Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Want to share some of your own 1980s & 1990s memories? Welcome back, everyone! Firstly, thanks to everyone who has been watching Dueling Decades on YouTube and PodTV! It appears that more and more people are crossing over to the video portion of the show. Much appreciated, and if you haven't subscribed there yet, the links are below! We have a great guest judge this week! This man has been in some fantastic movies over the years. He scared us all to death in Children of the Corn, picked on George McFly in Back to the Future, and even lived next to Tom Hanks in The Burbs! The multi-talented, Courtney Gains joins us this week as our celebrity guest judge! And to finish out the month, he gets to decide which of these contestants had the "best of the worst" month of June! First up, going way back to 1970, Marc James brings the worst June 1970 had to offer! Smack dab in the middle, Mike Ranger is back with the worst of June 1980. And rounding out this battle of the decades, Mancrush spent his week eating at The Max and delivers his worst of June 1990! Stick around till the end of this episode! Courtney grabs his acoustic guitar and serenades us all with a new track. But before that, you might hear something about Florida banning articles of clothing, Richard Pryor, a band's twist with drugs, fields that make you cry, a tour that will make you cry some more, G-rated shows headlined by X-rated shows, not Fonzie, a network that never sees the light of day, fake news, a double dose of awful albums, Mancrush's wife gives her approval. Acoustic Gains Volume 1, Ripple Street, Queen Bees, cars that slip on banana peels, guys that won't let their relationships die, Russ Meyer, censorship, Phish, murder, and what the hell is in my burrito?! Do you agree with Courtney's rulings? Need more? Come watch us on YouTube! Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Want to share some of your own 1980s & 1990s memories? Welcome back! And if this is your first time with us, hop on in the telephone booth and get ready to explore three of your favorite decades. This week, our good friend Judge David Schultz is back behind the bench to decide this retro showdown. Now that we're also on YouTube (and soon to be PodTV, available on Roku/Firestick/Android/Apple/Web), ol' Judge Schultz wants to be on the show more often to show off his collection of floral shirts. If you don't know what I'm referring to, check out the YouTube video for this episode! Anyway, "The Professor" Drew Zakmin is back to compete and teach us a thing or two about his week in June of 1992. The next contestant, who loathes drawing the year 1981, Mancrush brings a high caliber week in June of 1981. And rounding out the competition this week, our boy Marc James is back, way back that is, way back to June 1972! Hopefully, by the time this is out, you can also check us out on PodTV. Shootout to Anthony, who said, "Finally get to see the faces to the voices I've been listening to for so long"! If you're also curious, you should check out the video version, we look great on a big screen (my mom says so anyway)! In any event, on this episode, you might hear something about: Father's Day "the redheaded stepchild of all holidays", fake espionage, real espionage, Judge Schultz famously cheated on a spelling bee, paying someone to rewind your video rentals, dudes named Spider, summer replacements, a VHS tape that eluded the Zakmin clan, Marc picks something filthy, uncensored "new wave" mud wrestling, the deal of a century, Sammy Davis Jr stops by for an unexpected visit, the official wedding band of the early 90s, Lamborghini jumpsuits, fat penguins, Marc brings a mouthful, giving it all up for a woman, not Fleetwood Mac, and who the hell brought a roofing product?! All that and more! Do you agree with "Schulz's" rulings? Look for us tonight at 9pmEST with guest judge Kalie Wolfe from Rivals on YouTube! Please don't forget to subscribe and review! If you've listened to this show before, you know about our deep-rooted love for all things Cannon Films. We don't know exactly what it is about this company, but we can never stop talking about them. Ninjas, Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, break dancing, sex comedies, Jean Claude Van Damme, and lots of shlock! What's not to love?! So this week, we brought in our new friend, Austin Trunick, the author of "The Cannon Film Guide Vol 1" (volume 2 is coming soon) to judge this all Cannon battle. Following the film guide, we stayed in the 80s for this episode. First up, going back to the early days of Cannon (under Golan and Globus of course), Mancrush brings the best of Cannon, 1982. Smack dab in the middle of this competition, Marc James grabs dons his zipper jacket and delivers the best Cannon had to offer from 1984. Bridging the way to Austin's Vol 2, Mike Ranger brings Cannon of 1986 to this battle! If you're a fan of Cannon Films, we're sure you'll dig this episode and we totally recommend picking up Austin's book! If you don't know Cannon, you'll definitely want to hear more by the end. In this episode, you might hear something about: faking it till you make it, turbulent partnerships, fancy lunches on styrofoam plates, naked horseback riding, careers we wish we had, video store ninjas, the cure to any computer virus wears sunglasses, hookers on television, the boring BBC, Amanda makes Marc lascivious, music for murderers, the perfect use for a U2 track, Chaka Kahn is a freakshow on the dance floor, Jean Claude Van Damme fables, The Cannon Kibbutz, V8 makes everything sexier, terrorists, uzis, motorcycles, explosions, violence, sex, crabs and a lot more Cannon tidbits from Austin! This week Duelers, we have a best of June duel just in time for summer! Back behind the bench, this week is the bald Brazen Badass from Beantown, the one and only Dave Schultz. We may need a bigger boat when Mancrush brings the best of June 1975. Marc James takes it down to Paradise City with some rockin’ picks from June of 1985. Mike Ranger channels his inner Zack Morris and gets his homework totally wrong and brings the best of all of 1996! This is a wild one that's even better on YouTube! Don't miss this explosive episode with Judge Schultz, he may have the final say, but that doesn't mean that everyone agrees! In this episode, you might hear something about dead presidents, a hit song that uses the same word 86 times, hippie chicks in Baltimore, an epic trade that changes the fate of two franchises, the murder of a music icon, hitchhiking with Slash, 70-foot phalluses, B-rated DC characters, the worst game controller ever, Mr. Smith's Earth Welcoming Committee, the perfect movie to watch before heading to the beach, boobie traps, shoulders for days, a sports columnist for Newsday and his wacky family, the TV Wonderboy, and lot's more!! Hello again, fellow Duelers! Before we get into this week's episode notes. We wanted to remind you that we're now on YouTube! If you weren't aware, your favorite retro battleground is now on video. Matter of fact, some episodes are "taped live with a studio audience", so please go and subscribe (https://www.youtube.com/c/duelingdecades). We hope to see you in the chat! Anyways, we got another good one for you this week! Well, a bad one? I suppose it depends on how you look at it, but we're back with another "Worst of May" match-up! This week, we're joined by the amazing frontman of the band Wheatus, Brendan B. Brown! Brendan tossed some teenage dirtbag out of his chair, grabbed the gavel, and he was ready to judge these contestants: First up, from parts kinda known, Joe Findlay digs deep, and brings us the worst May 1979 has to offer. Next up, straight from a late-night Round House screening, Marc James brings a double deuce of picks from, May 1989. Finally, rounding out the competition, the man voted most likely to not wear JNCOs, Mancrush delivers the worst of May 1999! Stick around after the competition for a campfire chat with Brendan, AND a live rendition of "Teenage Dirtbag" that will give you chills. In this episode, you might hear something about dirty judges, a boat that should have sank, young republicans that Brendan doesn't buy, Marvel tries again, a ship that DOES sink, models taking dumps, Jim West is not a rapper, 28-minute songs, sweaty cocaine music, television murders, assassinations and riots, the tale of the hero sausage, an operation you never played, Japanese stuff, worthless toys that caused a commotion, and just what is the story behind Teenage Dirtbag anyway?! All this week and more! Do you agree with Brendan's rulings? Please don't forget to subscribe and review! Want to share some of your own 1980s & 1990s memories? Let's take a look at our contestants, and the eras they will be fighting for! First up, Mike Ranger throws on his Mr. Kotter afro and goes way back to late May 1978. Smack dab in the middle, Mancrush sports his best Chris DeMakes' mullet, with a heavy helping of late May 1988. And rounding out the competition this week, Marc James got his tips frosted and his butterfly clips, and heads back to late May 1998! With all of the stuff Chris has going on these days, it's a shock he had time to swing the gavel. Chris DeMakes a podcast, Chris DeMakes a book, Chris DeMakes a solo project, Chris DeMakes a tour, and Chris DeMakes us all howl on this episode! Check out all of the stuff Chris has coming out! But in the meantime, you may hear something in this episode about our brand new death metal band with Chris DeMakes, Mancrush's childhood memories, a TV show that almost has the initials HPV, naughty nurses, nursery rhymes for the hearing impaired, Marc goes dark, the 70s version of Hanson, a solo effort DeMakes hates, not C. Thomas Howell, Mandy gets dissed, dudes with anger issues, Mancrush goes to the movies with mommy, Chris Farley's forgotten gem, coed naked grand theft auto, David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar, strippin' for a whippin', I'm fat but you're ugly, the heroic Terenzi brothers, bootleg bears, blasts from the past, punk rock, and sorry our live stream died abruptly! Welcome back, Duelers! We're back to deliver some more nostalgia for this week, and we brought another special guest judge along with us. Mancrush has spoken ad nauseam about not having time to read books and his massive Audible book collection. Well, after listening to the book "Rock Bottom at the Renaissance: An Emo Kid's Journey Through Falling In and Out of Love In and With New York City", he was so blown away, he asked the author to come on the show! And since May is Mental Awareness month, his invitation made a lot of sense. All rise for an author, and Emmy Award-winning producer, Mike Henneberger! Now let's take a look at the contestants and the decades they will be fighting for. First up, going back to before he was even a glimmer in his father's eye, Drew Zakmin delivers his best mid-month week from May of 1976. His first opponent, coming off a surprising victory last week, Mancrush brings the best of his week in May of 1995. And rounding out the competition, Marc James heads back to childhood with his best week experience of May 1988. Stick around after the game, and listen to Mike Henneberger talk about his fantastic book! 50% of the proceeds from this book will be donated to mental health charities and artist relief funds to help out-of-work music industry crew members, so please check it out. I promise it's a fantastic read (or listen to the amazing Tyler Posey narrated version)!
