Gene Baur is the founder of Farm Sanctuary, a place of rescue, refuge, and adoption for hundreds of farm animals each year. Farm Sanctuary shelters enable visitors to connect with farm animals as emotional, intelligent individuals. Gene has also led campaigns to change laws about animal treatment and taken undercover photographs of farms, stockyards, and slaughterhouses, documenting deplorable conditions. His pictures and videos exposing factory farming cruelties have aired nationally and internationally, educating millions about the plight of modern farm animals, and his rescue work inspired an international farm sanctuary movement. Once called “the conscience of the food movement” by Time magazine, Gene walks the walk and talks the talk when it comes to food and animal rights. Jay and Gene discuss the political and cultural steps that will bring about the end of factory farming and a healthier approach to animals and food. The only thing to kick the Monday morning blues right in the face is here, the latest episode of the Mouth Off podcast hits the internet. Up for discussion this week is the Harald Zwart's remake of the classic (?) 80s film The Karate Kid, this time starring Jaden Smith and the Jackie Chan. Bleeding Cool's Movie Man Brendon Connelly, Craig Skinner and I take off the rose tints and stare deeply into the abyss of the latest remake to hit our screens. Craig returns triumphant from Montreal to bring us all the news from Fantasia Fest and we also look ahead to FrightFest, so plenty to pleasure you aurally this week, as well as our resident Ripped from the Crypt section which this week takes as a theme films which mix animation with live action.…
It's been a while but the Mouth Off team were too tempted by the furious momentum of Christopher Nolan's Inception to sit this one out and the podcast returns to take apart the latest film from the man some people claim to be 'The New Kubrick".
It's been a busy week on HeyUGuys and to ease the journey into the weekend let's cosy up and let the calming influence of the Mouth Off podcast wash over us, shall we? Lets. You'd be hard pressed to find three more diverse films than the ones we're discussing - a liberal guilt trip with writer/director Nicole Holofcener's latest Please Give, Craig Skinner talks up Harmony Korine's Trash Humpers and Brendon Connelly tells us all about the Spanish film Hierro. We champion the trailer for Mark Romanek's latest, his adaptation of Never Let Me Go which blew our collective minds, we journey through Oz with some unexpected companions and we rip into Warner Bros's decision to do a tentpole Don Quixote film.…
Bit of a special one today as we have an exclusive interview with the director of the forthcoming film Death and Cremation, Justin Steele, whose generosity and candour was a breath of fresh air and the stories he tells of getting an original horror film made, as well as working with Brad Dourif and Jeremy Sumpter are really worth a listen.…
Arriving just in time to complement your weekend I chat to Brendon Connelly and Craig Skinner about the Rian Johnson film The Brothers Bloom (out in UK cinemas today), as well as looking over the career of the late Dennis Hopper and kicking the recently orphaned Hobbit film around.
[Rec]2, Agora and The Killer Inside Me are all up for discussion this week, and we have news on the Logan's Run remake and potentially a very odd career move for Sam Rockwell
Joining me in the podcast arena this week are Craig Skinner and Brendon Connelly and this week sees us tackle StreetDance 3D, the Werner Herzog directed Bad Lieutenant: Part of Call New Orleans, and Philip Ridley's Heartless, and we throw a discussion of 3D, the merits of Nicolas Cage and a new mode of film distribution.…
To welcome in the weekend we’re happy to bring you the latest episode of the HeyUGuys podcast Mouth Off. This week we pull apart Price of Persia: The Sands of Time and talk about the state of Disney’s live-action arm in the 21st century. Brad Bird’s acceptance of a Mission: Impossible is also kicked around, as is the J.J. Abrams Super 8 trailer and the news that Kick-Ass team Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman are behind the next X-Men film..…

Time to receive the aural pleasure of another Mouth Off podcast and taken to task this week are Neil Marshall’s Centurion, Gurinder Chadha’s It’s a Wonderful Afterlife and the first of this summer’s Men on a Mission movie, The Losers.
Time for another voyage on the good ship podcast as the HeyUGuys podcast - Mouth Off - celebrates its 16th episode in grand style with film reviews, movie news and all good things. I'm joined by the glorious Mr Brendon Connelly from Film and we chew over the big screen debut of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, Cemetery Junction and Brendon kicks around Roman Polanski's The Ghost and it seems as though both films are worth a watch, so listen on to hear our thoughts.…
To welcome you to your Monday morning we're happy, nay proud, to offer up this week's Mouth Off podcast. I'm joined by HeyUGuys writer Craig Skinner and /Film’s Brendon Connelly to talk all things movies and in celebration of the premiere of the Philips/Ridley Scott Associates Short Film project Parallel Lines we chat about the five films on offer (which you can, and really should, see right here) and about short films in general as they are an often overlooked art form.…
Easter Monday is upon us and what better way to enjoy the bank holiday than with the dulcet tones of the Mouth Off podcast? This week I'm joined by HeyUGuys writers Emily Breen and Craig Skinner, as well as our usual guest /Film’s Brendon Connelly, and we take a look at two films out this week, Louis Leterrier's 3D/CGI behemoth Clash of the Titans and Drew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip It.…
It's another packed podcast for you this week, as we orally assault the week's top films and movie news.
