During the weekend of January 18-21 2013, as our country recognized the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr., First Lutheran and the La Crosse Area Synod invited everyone to Stand for Peace and to stand for those living under oppression around the world. This four day event explored the themes of awareness, accompaniment and advocacy, discussing ways to be people who bring about peace.
It took us way too long to edit this. In this episode, we try to talk about pop culture but every conversation takes a left turn. Some Highlights: end of the world, Tory Lanez, and new Drake.
This episode we breeze through the Jada & Will "controversy" to talk about a few of the newly released music floating around. We also engage in a spirited debate about Meek Mill's effectiveness as an activist and address our fears about becoming Black gun owners. It's an interesting one for sure.
