“Eight” your heart out. Researchers believe that adopting eight healthy behaviors — identified by the American Heart Association as Life’s Essential 8 — can slow the aging process and reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and death. In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Tuesday, we have two stories that are seemingly connected to each other. First, Donald Trump’s lawyers asked the New York judge who presided over his hush money trial to set aside his conviction and delay his sentencing, scheduled for next week. A Long Island driver accused of crashing into a local nail salon and killing four people once drunkenly slammed into a mailbox and passed out behind the wheel, records show. And in Washington, The Supreme Court ruled for the first time that former presidents have broad immunity from prosecution, extending the delay in the Washington criminal case against Donald Trump on charges he plotted to overturn his 2020 presidential election loss and all but ending prospects the former president could be tried before the November election.
