West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy is Now Open! 8am-9am PT/ 11am-Noon ET for our especially special Daily Specials, Smothered Benedict Wednesdays!
Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, Michigan Democratic State Senator Mallory McMorrow gave a fiery rebuke to a Republican colleague's fundraising email that accused her of wanting to "groom and sexualize kindergartners."
On the rest of the menu, a majority of Americans continue to support a mask requirement for people traveling on airplanes and other shared transportation; Florida Governor DeSantis raised the stakes in his battle with Disney over his capricious “Don’t Say Gay” law; and, California leads the effort to restore the original floodplains in the San Joaquin Valley from one hundred-fifty years ago.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Slovakia’s former Prime Minister Robert Fico is facing criminal charges; and, a massive cyberattack has crippled the Puerto Rico toll collection system.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
Bon Appétit!
"To those of us who believe that all of life is sacred every crumb of bread and sip of wine is a Eucharist, a remembrance, a call to awareness of holiness right where we are. I want all of the holiness of the Eucharist to spill out beyond church walls, out of the hands of priests and into the regular streets and sidewalks, into the hands of regular, grubby people like you and me, onto our tables, in our kitchens and dining rooms and backyards.”
